    Greetings

My name is B. Repairman. I shall not disclose my first name, as it is rather embarassing.

I came to find Jesus at the age of 42, fortunately, on a postage stamp from my now-deceased Grandmother(bless her heart), who was 104 years of age at the time. She was writing me to tell me that I had forgotten the milk, and she was quite cross. By the time I had returned, she no longer needed any.

I then attended a Christian church for the first time, as my parents raised me as a strict Muslim. Since then, I have been greatly enlightened on how to live life better, sin-free and stay un-damned.

I know that I have not sinned since, as I have not yet(touch-wood) been struck by lightning. But there were a few close calls, which I begged forgiveness for.

My favorite quote from the King James 1611 bible is "And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them." Luke 50.

I hope to get to know some of you and share thoughts and findings on modern society! I'm very excited! Thank you very much!

    Hellp B.
Glad to see you have found us and after reading your introduction I can see what attracted you to your favorite verse "And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. But a better, correct way of identifying it would be Luke 2.50. Don't be so fast to when you cut and paste.
You say you were raised a strict Muslim, Which sect? Many of the Brothers and Sisters are true students of religion and I am sure there will be many questions concerning your youth. Tell me do you think Sharia law is the Way for our society today?I can't wait to hear your views.

Proverbs 30:5,6: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

        Re: Greetings

I was Qadiani, under the Ahmadiyya Sect. My grandmother originally moved to South Africa from Pakistan in search of a new life here. She married a South African man by the name of Kobus, who farmed in the Free State Province, mainly cattle and sheep for consumption and milk.

Her and my grandfather frequently spoke of religion, and she insisted on being Muslim. I remember her telling me how he was quite hard-headed(many South African men tend to be) and took a while to accept this. After some time he saw how Ahmad's proposal is logical.

I don't, however, share the same view as him or my parents who were also Qadiani Ahmadiyya. Jesus was given vinegar on the cross and even stabbed to check if he was dead. There's no possible way that he escaped to India and lived on. This is the main reason I converted to Christianity at the age of 24, where I was able to study religion on my own.

I do not think Sharia law is the way forward, no. It is too opressive in its ways and violates human rights, mainly woman's. I believe that woman and men are equal, and are to be treated as such.

Hold it right there, buster. What kind of crazy nonsense is that? The Holy Bible doesn't abide that liberal blasphemy.

            1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

            1 Corinthians 14:34-36
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Under South African law I am granted freedom. Although I am Christian, I do not agree with all of The Holy Bible's teachings. My wife and I attend the Moraleta Park church in Pretoria, where men and woman are equal.

You don't agree with parts of the bible you say? We are of a mind that one should follow the bible, all of it as it was directed by our Lord when he Inspired the English Translation from Hebrew and Greek through King James. We believe you believe in all that is written to be a True Christian. What sort of church is it that lets you pick and choose which parts of the Bible that should dictate the actions of your life?

I am glad to hear you do not support the heretical thoughts of Ahmad, to think he is a Peer to our Savior Jesus Christ is a damnable sin.

Then you are just as hellbound as a muslim and your chuch is a false one.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

The first and foremost thing we believe in is that the Whole Bible is The way to God not parts of it. If you wish to say we are wrong show it with scripture to prove your point.
