Hello I'm new and wanted to say a few things...

Before I joined in with this site, I've read a few threads and it's really nothing but bickering back and forth with one another. I'm a straight up Christian, Jesus all the way. I've gave my heart to the lord when I was 5 years old, when I started to understand about the word. I've been a Christian for 14 years and counting. My Grandmother is a 2nd generation minister at our church also. Just wanted to tell you that before you think I'm a Christian basher or against God.

And here's to the part where you might get a little angry, which I expect. But the forums here are really messed up. I mean one was talking about what they should tell their daughter because she wouldn't marry her rapist after getting pregnant by him. Who would allow their daughter to marry a sex offender that has hurt her and scarred her for life? Also this one really bothered me...it was about a little girl with two moms that was beaten up and left alone at school. The replies to the thread were horrendous. They basically said it was good that she was beaten up and called her a dyke in training. I mean c'mon...is that what they'd call their daughter if they were tomboy? I really doubt it. What if someone said that to their daughter...I know I wouldn't tolerate it. I am a lesbian myself and I will stick up for it. But children aren't raised a certain way, they only live by your mistakes.

And I know that you'll all say "You're going to burn in hell for being a lesbian" or "God hates lesbians and gays" I'll simply say you are in no place to say whose going to hell, that's God's job. Also, God does NOT hate. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm really just making a point. And I hope those who reply to this will have an open-mind. Thank you.

I'm new to this forum too and I tell you I feel the presence of the lord working within this site and every one of its member!... & ... yup i believe You will burn in hell for being a lesbian Ashbee... whatever you said really doesn't mean a thing!!!... for it is Jesus that decides who will he burn in hell!! he hates sins and he didn't die on the cross for you carpet munching dykes to do your evil things!!!.... & ye said "this forum is messed up".... no i think yer head is messed up for watching too much MTV and that.

Yes, I do agree that he hates sins but even Christians are sinners, the books in the bible were written by sinners also. It's used for a guide not a weapon. I've never watched TV growing up so keep it coming.

Welcome to our Forums.
We are certainly not close-Minded here at Landover Baptist Church.
However, we do follow The King James Bible to the letter just how God intended us to.
I would like to know how you can be under the illusion that you are a Christian?
Have you not read The Bible?
Do you find it funny to mock his Word?

No, I'm pretty sure it says in the bible that we're sinners even the ones that follow him because we all judge, that's a sin, no? It's pretty obvious by the stories that were told in the book that they were sinners. That's why I said it's a guide, to learn from their mistakes basically. The bible wouldn't even had been written if sin wasn't involved.

Nope, there's only one bible. DER. You don't have to watch Christian shows or go to church when your home is the church, but I do go to church, mind you. It was my choice not to watch tv. I never said I didn't love the lord. Have you people even thought why people come here, to seek help...and yet you automatically mock them. A Christian place, even a website is supposed to be a safe place not one that rejects in first swing.
