    I need to be saved!

My name is Lydia and up until about a week ago, I've been unsaved.
I guess the best way to start out is to tell you about my past. You see, I was raised with a Bible in my home, but as a simple coffee table decoration to look good to the neighbors. From what I remember, no one in my family really opened it to read from it.
My parents just told me that Jesus existed, and He'll love me no matter what, as long as I'm a nice person. And I actually believed that!
When I was about 17, I dropped outta high school, thinking I would make it to California to become an actress. I started hitchhiking for travel. (I don't really wanna go into details about what I had to do) I made it as far as Wisconson (I'm originally from NY). At the time I thought "ok, I'll stay here for a little while, get a normal job for some money, and make it to Hollywood later on." So i had managed to get a job at a small restaurant called the Family Restaurant as a waitress.
Everyday I would tell myself "I'll stay for another week, then I'll head for Cali." or "I'll just go next month." and so on.
Neddless to say, I never made it to California and I'm still working at the same restaurant.
1 night last week during my shift a well dressed man and woman (I'm assuming they were married since they were both wearing wedding rings and calling each other "honey" and stuff). They were both in my section and ate very lite meals.
They were both very nice and had left a very generous tip. With their tip they also left something called a "chick tract". I didn't really get a chance to read it until after my shift. It was one called "Back From The Dead".
After I read it, I was touched-and a little confused. The message that I read was completely different than what i was always taught.
My next day off, I went to the local public library to use one of their computers and looked up the "chick tracts". On of the links that Google gave me was your website which led me here.
Because I dropped outta public school and I was never really taught the Bible I need help learning how to become a good True Christian woman.
There is a small Baptist church in the small town I'm living in now, but when I last went there I didn't feel welcomed (most likely because of my past).
    Please, I need your help!

That is somewhat of a shame, but the Bible has to be taken with a grain of salt. It is best to have a group to read it with and suggest sections to read.

If you read the entire thing, God comes off as somewhat of a mean deity. I find it best if you stick to the parts that teach of love, it's better.

If you do believe in Him and do good, you should be saved. Pay no attention to parts of Revelation, Matthew or Romans. That gets a bit legalistic, IMO.

Do you really have to actually read the Bible? It can confuse the neophyte Christian without proper guidance.

And Jack Chick is a mad man.

You either believe the whole Book or none of it. You cant choose some bits and ignore the rest! The good Book is complete with knowledge you need to live a good life!!

Dear Sister Lydia, Welcome. What a terrible story you came to tell us. Your surely blessed that you found this site. Now you at least have a chance of salvation.

But it's very important, that you ignore this liberal genuine christian Samuel. His advices will sent you straight to hell

To say that you can ignore some parts of the holy bible, just because it dosen't fits your mood, is not only absurd, it is also a sinn of huge dimensions.

No, you should of course read and follow the words of the entire bible, and remember that it must be the King James Version, and not one of the later versions written by ignorant heathens.

          Matthews 4:4 (King James Version)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

          I rest my case.

Where does it say that in the Bible?
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The two of you should learn how to quote right.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." - Revelation 1:8

I can't tell you how many of the girls in our High School group have developed an unnatural affection for me over the years. I guess it has something to do with me being the first to see Jesus truly enter their lives.

I hear it's a special bond they never get over.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Thanks for the intro (but I didn't need all of War and Peace; brevity is the soul of wit; hint hint.)

Goes to show the value of applying yourself. Had you stuck with it you could be Traci Lords by now. Dear, you need to plant your face in the Good Book and out of the laps of diners at the greasy spoon.

Put those legs together today. when you're just slutty. When you're fat and slutty and over 27, you're done, even the local Lutheran pastors won't touch you. Get a move on towards God, girl.
