I had used a measuring rod for myself - it was most satisfactory - but with no husband for instruction a void looms within me craving wisdom.

I hope none of you are responsible for manufacturing anything that a persons life depends on, as the tolerances you use to keep within your interpretation of your fairytale would not be conducive to safety ( a circle of diameter 10 will have a circumference of 31.4 {to the first decimal}).

Now with a simple re-interpretation of 1 Kings 7 you could have a value of that would actually work.

So I am not here to show that your book is wrong (though it is in oh so many places) just that you do not even understand it yourselves.

Greetings proteastantguy. I am new to this fine forum and am looking forward to assisting degenerates such as yourself find eternal Salvation.

I find your choice of name rather unfortunate. A name is a reflection of one's inner core, and world view. You seem to view yourself as a false Christian protestant, most likely of the self loathing Presbyterian or Methodist variety. I would encourage you to learn to use a spell checker. It is "Protestant" not "Proteastant".

But what's even more unfortunate than your choice of name, is your seeming lack of confidence that the Bible is the unerring word of God! "I don't believe the bible is fiction." How weak is that! Bible should be capitalized! Any sane person would realize upon careful reading that the Bible contains all the knowledge and wisdom any man or feeble minded woman needs! After all, the Holy Bible IS God's Holy unerring Word! Show some confidence in that knowledge!

My suggestion to you is to obtain a King James Authorized Bible and begin fervent study. Please remember to pay the clerk at the bookstore, God does not condone theft even if the coveted object just happens to be a Bible. Study your Bible carefully and you will find enlightenment, and more importantly, eternal Salvation.

Oh welcome mister Jodhua, maybe my wision of god and the bible will change sometime, but what I meant is that I don't see the bible just as a book. And of course I will study the bible. Btw I'm sorry for my lack of saying, but I'm a person who doesn't have much to say normally.

oh, yes - I do have to calculate musical scales (based ) for my harpsichord - and that isn't round

Now putting aside the issue of the Bible being fact or not, I am not saying that when it comes to describing the molten sea of Kings that the writers got the maths wrong, what I am saying is that to derive from what it writ to be 3.00 is to misinterpret that passage of the KJV-CFT.

Why is it so hard to accept another interpretation where what is writ can be shown to match what maths shows to be?

I would have thought those that wish to defend the KJV-CFT would love such an interpretation.
