    Re: I question things

    Mrs Phebe Dewitt:

How has is been proven? And I'm not a lesbian

    James Hutchins:

I was a little distracted from all those Copyright and Registered Trademark symbols, but yeah; eternal bliss sounds pretty cool. But while extremist Muslims see the Quran (sp?) as the only way to salvation and other religions are just as sure with their own faith, how can anyone know or be certain? By the way, what are the differences between the teachings of the Bible and the Quran? I'm reading through these threads and seeing support for stoning women, arranging marriages, etc., and these are all things I thought Muslims did.

    Brother Temperance:
But if someone wrote the Bible and then claimed it to be the word of God, then that would lead to the possibility of God not existing and therefore he would not exist to stop such a devious act.

    CyberYahweh:
I know the Bible says it's the word of God, but if someone else wrote the Bible for their own personal gains, then they would be liars.

Of course there is a hell and by all the things you have said so far you have a one way ticket already.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

If you are not a lezbean, why do you keep saying you are!

And it has been proven! The KJV is the ONLY TRUTH!!

The Hebrew text of Genesis (the textus receptus or Masoretic text, which ONLY the King James Bible is from, ALL new versions use other texts) was converted to a continual string of letters.

Three mathematical statisticians, Doron Witztum, Eliyahu Rips and Yoav Rosenberg of the Jerusalem College of Technology and the Hebrew University, discovered words encoded in the Genesis text that was humanly impossible!
        So take THAT, God Mocker!

For more information as to the WRITTEN WORD BY GOD:

Seriously, you should get with the Jesus program missy, unless you enjoy the thought of roasting in the bowels of hell!

          Well that's not very nice.

I thought Christians have to be God-fearing. Is that not 'the fearful'?

Now I've just got an infraction for 'engaging in a debate'. It also said that this website has to avoid "unsaved scum", but on another page it says it will not give up on the unsaved until they are saved. It said no one is interested in what I have to say. I haven't even been here for 24 hours and already I've been given up on? I'm going to chalk it up to me questioning things. I've not flamed anyone and I've not been rude to anyone. Maybe God should have directed me to a place where there was a chance I'd actually convert: where I wouldn't be sent infractions every time I showed any form of disagreement or opening a conversation that seeks answers to issues that I am unsure of. I was really, and truly, and simply trying to engage in a learning experience in order to better understand.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and fulfilling life until Judgement Day,

If you don't like what God has told us, then get with the Lord and change your ways. The bible verse I gave you clearly shows there is a hell and some quick ways to get there. Think about it.

PS: Fearful refers to those who are scared of the Lord.

              Re: I question things

Ikea, I am not going to delve in to the differences of the two books for a few extremely good reasons.
              1) This is a Christian website, not a mooslime one. Go find an adolescent suicide bomber.
              2) We use the 1611 KJV Bible which has stories about God and His disciples. The other book is about some regular guy named Joe or something.

Because of the above, any halfway intelligent person would know, the Book about God (the KJV Bible) is the correct one. You want to read about Joe, I suggest this primer.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                Re: I question things

I would just like everyone to know that I went away last night dreaming of Landoverbaptist.net. I spent all the next day thinking about it in detail and removed my emotions from the situation. I apologise for stepping out of line and I feel I am ready to accept Jesus into my life. Thank you everyone.

Well, all I can say is PRAISE JESUS!

Actually no, I will say more. It is nice to know that you have used SOLID LOGIC to come to the conclusion that God IS in fact REAL and He is there, holding you in His hand! I suppose you feel like a fool for questioning ANYTHING in reference to The Lord now!

Admittedly, until you realized the folly of your ways, you were merely the mangy dirt under His fingernails, but perhaps now with a lot of faith and prayer, Jesus may accept you too!

If you are open to further guidance and suggest (as you should be in your journey) the best thing for you to do would be to get a KJV1611 and read, read, read!

Put your life in HIS hands and question NOTHING FURTHER: just pray pray pray and when He KNOWS you are genuine in your Faith and devotion to Him, you certainly WILL receive!

                  Matthew 7

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

                  Luke reaffirms this Truth too!

                  Luke 11

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

                    Re: I question things

You're right Mrs Phebe, I did feel foolish after giving it a little more thought. The more I thought about it, the more it all made sense. Every time I came up with an argument in my head, I could just hear the inevitable proof that a Landover Baptist would provide me and defeat my previous argument. I recollected the folks here giving me Bible passages that could not be interpreted in any other way than to disprove what I had said previously. Jesus is too smart for me; he He has an answer for everything. I'm sorry for ever questioning you folks...
