    I question things

I have been requested to post an introduction topic, and so I am respectfully fulfilling that request.

I am not religious, nor am I an atheist. That is to say, I don't have faith in God nor do I disbelieve in God. Right now I am content in not knowing whatever truth there may be.

I ask questions. I question things. I find answers until I can come to a conclusion. Sometimes no conclusion is made.

I'm here because, and please don't take this as an insult, but I actually thought this forum was a joke at first. I saw a forum from someone complaining that a girl would not marry her rapist, and I thought the poster was being facetious. I later realised he was being serious. With that, I read through a few more forums and joined so that I may better understand the reasons behind such fundamentalist beliefs; whether that is scripture, culture, etc.

I'm not here to flame anyone.

I received 66 points on my first post for "Sexing it up for Satan" and I'm still not sure how I sexed anything up.

You better start loving Jesus, 'cause there'll be no serving of tea in Hell.

Explicit sexual content in your post. Please keep in mind this is a religious forum.

So what is your favorite church not to attend and what Bible verse to do ignore in your agnostic lifestyle?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Well, you're halfway there, and that's a good start.
Right now I am content in not knowing whatever truth there may be.
How odd. Have you ever heard the expression "it is better to light a candle than to curse the dark"? Or the expression "It is better to know the truth and be right about stuff than to not be right about stuff?"
I ask questions. I question things. I find answers until I can come to a conclusion.
The Bible is full of answers, friend.

        The reason is God.

        Glad to hear it.

I looked your first post up. You wrote:
men have penises to insert sperm into a woman's vagina
I literally cannot imagine how you could have sexed your post up any further, short of writing "I am mentioning sex here in order to sex my post up. For Satan."
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

          Re: I question things

Okay. I still don't see any 'explicit' sexual content; when I think of "sexual", I think of some kind of body-rubbing, libido-teasing sort of literature that intends to stimulate a sexual response. My words were merely referring to a process that God intended, in what I thought was a very neutral way. I wasn't trying to "turn anyone on" for Satan.

Sister Christina, thanks for the warning. Hey I have a question. Does Satan work for God or is he against God? Because I would think if he were against God, he wouldn't want to punish people on behalf of God (i.e. for disobeying God). If he worked for God, I could see him doing the punishment when people disobey God. But then if he works for God, why would God not just eradicate Satan so that people were not led to sin in the first place?

Son, you can't sit on the fence forever. God doesn't allow you to take a neutral default position, and sit above it all like some faggot tennis judge.
You have to COMMIT to something. Your choice: Eternity with Jesus on streets paved with gold, or molten lead being poured over your testicles for eternity. Why would you even want to chance it? Crimony...
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

I would respectfully state that if you refer to me as "Son", it would probably be more accurate to call me "Daughter"?? And I guess that would make me a lesbian tennis judge... and molten lead being poured over my breasts or ovaries instead? In short, I am female. I hope that doesn't make God hate me more than he would normally.

Why would I want to chance it? Well I guess that's a good question. I've often thought about that. But then I think there hasn't been enough evidence to ever convince me that there is the possibility of hell. I know there is the Bible. But how do I know that someone didn't alter the Bible 300 years ago before any of us were born and before any of our living ancestors were born? How do I know the Bible is indeed the word of God?

                              Re: I question things

Mrs. Phebe Dewitt is correct, as well as Bobby-Joe.

                              2 Tim 3:16
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

As St. Paul teaches us, in the above - this is also supplemented in the old testament as well:

                              Deuteronomy 6:69
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates."

There's no reason to sit on the fence - the Bible itself, proves that the words therein are the inspired words of God. It's not open for debate. Also, as Brother Temperance said - altering the Bible is a grievous sin that is forewarned within the Bible itself.

                              Revelation 22:18-19
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
                              "

This appears several other times, in the Bible as well. I highly suggest that you read the Bible, cover to cover, so that you may see the legitimacy of his Holy Word.
