    Re: Hello

Your name is 96Bookworth? Did you have some space age hippie parents or something?

But seriously, tell us friend, what's your real name? How old are you and what church do you attend? What's your favorite Bible verse and why? Make yourself an open book (HA! Get it?) and share yourself with us.

      Re: Hello

Welcome, friend. We generally like for those who would fellowship with us to be a bit more forthcoming in their introductions.

Tell us about yourself. Are you a man or a woman? Do you have a family? Most importantly, are you a Christian?
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Gack ack ack ack! You're funny!
Ooh my name... Gack. I'm a playful old man, by the name of Matthew. I believe I'm in my 40s, only if I haven't lost my memory! I go to a Christ Church, well, I have so many excerpts I liked, I can't pick a favorite. As for finding Jesus... My parents baptized me.

Do you live in Australia? Mr. Bookworth. Are you a sodomite? There is an awful lot of sodomy in Australia. That is why God hates Australia.

                  Re: Hello

Thank-you for reprimanding me, Pastor, and I must apologise to Mr. Bookworth for what I can now see turned out to be a less muted welcome than was proper. There is no excuse, of course. I can only attribute my wretched typing to the medication I was required to take following surgery last night which severely affected my vision.
                  Yours in humility,
                  ML

                      Re: Hello

                      Hello there Mr Bookworth.

                      Nice to make your aquaintance.

I note you say you have a family. How many Soldiers of Christ has your wife birthed ?

I do appreciate that The Bible is so full of joyous and inspirational scripture, it can be quite difficult to choose a favorite, but there is usually one in particular that touches us personally more than others. It would be wonderful if you could share yours with us and also tell us why it is your favorite.

I also note that your parents baptized you, so you are obviously from a good Christian background, but did you also surrender yourself to Our Lord Jesus Christ when older (age of accountability) so as to absolutely fulfill His will?

I ask as it is important for all Christians to realize that systematic baptism as a helpless young child or even an infant is not a personal decision to be one with God. Only when older can we truly appreciate the anormity of sin and realize the extreme importance of consciously REPENTING of sins and sinful ways and properly ask Jesus Christ to forgive us and to be our Lord and Savior.

All we have to do is look at John 3:3 to realize this is what is expected of us.

                      John 3:3

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Gosh, here I am prattling on. Sometimes the Lord fills me with so much love, I cannot help myself.

That said, I will leave it at this. Welcome friend to God's Favorite Forum! I certainly look forward to your replies and future interactions with you.

                      YIC,

                      Mrs Phebe Dewitt.

                      There's Jesus here,
Just see what He offers me....
                      Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!
