My name is Dred Varatore, or Dredgeretk as I like to say because dred sounds...dreadful.
I have grown up in a christian family since birth and have always gone to church. I am lucky to Live in the state of Texas where a lot of good baptist churches have been set up. I currently am going to Southwest Baptist church.
I am into philosophy, web site development, band, and tennis. I hope I can find out some really information here. I kind of got freaked a little about some of the "killing sinner" talk ^^

You capitalize "live" but not "God" or "Baptist" or "Christian?"

If you were actually a Christian, you would know that God commands us to stay away from "philosophies" lest they turn us to satan.

I am sorry you feel that way, I have no wish to give offense against you, and kindly ask you at least respect me a little more than you have in the last post.

God does not condemn the unsaved, but asks that we help them reach and understand God's love. If I have mistaken something then I want to know what it was.

I'm not sure what "killing sinners" talk you are concerned about or disturbed by. Could you elaborate?

Do you mean the commands of God in the Bible to execute those who commit particular sins? These Torn, Battered, and Lost souls do often complain that they are put upon by God's Commands . . . but death is only the first step for them.

At Judgment, they will find themselves Waking. Not to Silence, no. To the anguished screams and gnashing of teeth of the damned in eternal torture in Hell.

Is it not better for sinners to learn of this while they are alive, that they may repent? Or should we let them carry on their merry way down the broad way to Hell?

Your opinion doesn't matter. Neither does mine. God's Word, and therefore God's Opinion, is the only one that matters.

The Bible says what it says, not what you would LIKE it to say, if only God would make it say what Dred thinks is a nice thing to say.

Son, have you even read the Bible? Or do you just call yourself a Christian to impress other people? While Salvation™ is available to all who would conduct themselves in a Godly manner by living according to every word of the instructions that God left for us in the Holy Bible (KJV 1611), Jesus makes it very clear that there will be many who will reject His infinite love.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

To believe in Him does not mean wishful thinking or paying lip service. To believe in Christ is to follow the entire Bible (KJV 1611) to the letter.

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Those who are not True Christians™ will burn in hell for all eternity, whether they are atheists, islamofascists, wiccans, or cherry-picking false Christians who think that happy thoughts will earn them a place at the bosom of Jesus rather than a life well-lived in accordance with His Word (KJV 1611).

You are only right in part. We are to spread the word of God; his ENTIRE Word, not just the fluffy bunny stuff.

Mark 16:15

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

However there is more to it. The unsaved are unsaved until they accept Jesus; believe in Him and be baptized. If people do not believe in Christ, then they are DAMNED. One MUST be born again In Christ.

Mark 16:16

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

If "shall be damned" is not being condemned, I don't know what is.

Also, the unsaved, those who have only the first birth, are in eternal danger. Since the body and soul of the unsaved are bonded when this world's physical elements and spiritual components (including "Death") are cast into the lake of fire, those eternal souls, living or already dead, will perish with them.

Revelation 20:13-15

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I somehow think here you are confusing the US Declaration of Independence with the Bible.

"All men are equal"? Dred-whatever, I am sorry, but I can assure you that all men are NOT equal.

The Bible in Leviticus 21 says in part "whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his [testicles]broken ..." All these people are unsightly in God's eyes and are therefore not equal.

I am glad you are here, and we hope to inspire your soul here, but I am with Pastor Zeke on this: Your studying philosophy is a slippery slope to perdition. If you keep your focus on the Bible, then you "Kant" go wrong.
