Heretics can not be converted, as once you have strayed from the almighty word of God, your soul will forever be corrupted with the filth of Satan.

Once corrupted, you might try to forgive your sins, but you will certainly sin again, and when you do, God will not accept you into his kingdom.

I've read the KJV version front to back, and your liberal, "Everyone can be saved! God loves us all if we all try!" rhetoric burns my eyes.

Of course you can be saved if you turn your life to God and are blessed with baptism, but the sinners that 23:4 is describing seem as if they would be more worthy of being smashed with the rod of God than being comforted by it.
