You know how atheists are, they don't believe anyone should be forgiven for past sins. It makes them feel better about their current sins. So by bringing up your sinful past, they'll throw it in your face with a "who are you to Judge!"

God has forgiven you, the True Christians have forgiven you, that's all you need to worry about.
