I have held off on posting in this topic for a while now, but felt compelled to say my piece.

Is this the kind of tolerance and diversity you atheists believe in? I've read through all eighteen pages of this topic and, while the atheists have brutally attacked God and the Bible, all while shouting we should "live and let live" and "accept them for their beliefs", never once did I see one of my Brothers and Sisters in Christ respond with anything but a polite and dignified response.

I am especially disheartened at the treatment you lot are giving my Sister handmaiden. She has taken the time to calmly respond to your hateful messages with tact, politeness and honesty while you throw vulgarities and insults her way.

Is this the way your parents raised you? If so, thank you for enforcing my belief that it is absolutely impossible to have any sort of morality without having God in your life.

I will be praying that you, one day, accept what you did here for what it really is; ignorant hatemongering. And I will also be praying for the day you realize that you need the Lord in your life.

My mother is Catholic, and tried to drill the idea of God into my head by taking me to church and make me pray to a supernatural being that I didn't fully understand.

One day, when I was 8 years old, I asked my mom "Why do I have to believe what everyone else is believing? Am I allowed to think my own way without the guide of a book?" and she replied by slapping me across the face and calling me a demon child. Since then I refused to believe the bible. I'm not truely atheist, but I'm definately not catholic or christian.

I guess you did not read some of the racism said earlier by your bretheren; mocking the country that the girl lives in because she is bisexual.

My main reason for writing on this thread is because I find it wrong that everyone is calling her a sinner, when all she did was love humans for who they are, not for their gender.

Being as we exist to provide a Biblically appropriate response to this, it was pointed out to the young lady that GOD will send her to hell-- at least that is what He tells us in the Bible. We try not to question Him, being rather fond of our own unseared skin as we are.

I note that you rather boldly claim, in clamourous colour, I might add, that it is I who will go to hell for my sin of pointing out that God will send her to hell for her sins. All while identifying yourself as a committed atheist.

Tell me, did you obtain the red colour for your post from the crayon that you had previously stuck up your nose?

Once again, you are correct in your assertion that the young lady's sexual orientation has no effect on my life. Indeed. I could have gone my entire life without ever hearing about her "omnisexualism" and been no worse off for the lack.

And when she gets tired of playing her little "shock the Bible thumpers" game, I will continue on my merry way with nary a thought to her and her unusual sexual persuation.

However, while I am perfectly willing to let the matter drop, according to the Bible, God is not. As an atheist, I cannot imagine that will concern you.

Let us, therefore, withdraw from the field of speculation. If the young lady, or yourself, for that matter, wishes to be informed regarding the Biblical perspective on any subject, we are more than happy to oblige.

We are not standing in her way of loving whomever she pleases.

We are informing her that God condemns same-sex relations (indeed, any relations outside a Godly heterosexual marriage) as abominations, and that committing sin earns one a one-way ticket to God's Lake of Fire.

We are explaining the consequences of her actions, not telling her what she can or cannot do. We do not have the authority to control her actions; only she does.

Let's suppose your neighbor told you that if you drink a bottle of liquor and go driving and hit someone, you will go to jail. Is your neighbor preventing you from drinking? Preventing you from driving? Threatening you with punishment?

Hmm, I think I'm seeing where the confusion is. We have different morals, that much is clear, and with different moralities comes a different vernacular of insults. In my opinion, the words "carpet muncher" make up a derogitory term, which is also considered an insult. the term "lesbian" or "homosexual" could be used , though the offender chose to use the more hurtful term. Therefore it becomes an insult. Also, saying I am unloved by god is most deffinately an insult, or at least a stab at me. why else would that have been needed in civilized conversation?

Now I ask you this, what family am I breaking up? My parents are fully aware of my sexuality, nor do they care. They believe you should love who you love. You were raised to worship a book, I was raised to accept who I am. I much prefer the latter.

Also, in response to Handmaiden, I'm not omnisexual. I never said I was. I'm pansexual, which means I'm gender blind when it comes to love. That I just love who I love. Ominsexual means you can fall in love with anything, object, animal, human.

Also, I'm just going to add, that while I don't believe in God, I'm sure there's a chance I could be proved wrong. I don't know what's going to happen after I die. I don't think anyone knows for sure. Maybe we die and there isn't anything afterwards. Or maybe there is heaven and hell. Or maybe it's like some religions believe, that we are reincarnated, till our karma is pure, and then we all go to an unknown paradise.

No one knows for sure. You can say the bible says so, but other religious texts say otherwise. And each religion believes something different. How do you know for sure yours is the correct one?
