    Greetings All

    Hello All,

I have posted here a couple times already. I think i pissed some people off. So I decided to introduce myself so you can see who I really am.

My name is Matt, I am a third year university student taking a BSc in Computer Science with a second major in Pure Math. I also work as a Math Tutor.

I have talked to many people. Atheists, Jews, Christians, Muslims, etc. They all have different opinions.

I have some questions, and I am willing to listen to your answers as long as we can discuses them in an intelligent way. IE no calling me "unsaved trash jap wannabe" etc. Also, I do admit I have never read your Bible, so I ask you to quote the verse you are referring to in your answers. Thank You.

    Question 1.
Muslims also believe their Bible (the Qur'an) to be the true word of God. Their Bible is unchanged for 100s of years. Non-altered, non-translated, the same, word-for-word, if you buy it in Saudi or in USA; in 2010 or in 1500. Now from my understand of your Bible, there is many different versions that say different things. It has also been translated into English. And from my understand, it does not claim itself to be the litter true word of God. So why is your Bible the true word of God?
Maybe it is the true word of God. Please give me a good reason to believe so, I am trying to be open.

    Question 2.
Why do you think the world if flat? Do you think all NASA missions, all math and science, all the images of the globe, etc are genuine?
Why do you not believe in gravity? If you think the earth is flat and there is intelligent pulling, why does the moon not fall? How do artificial satellites work?
If you can explain these things, maybe I can accept the world is flat.

    Question 3.
Why are you all so racist? You do realize white Americans are not native to this land? We came here from Europe. American is not a race, white Americans are generally a mix of different European races. Is my assumption here wrong?

    Question 4.
How did Noah's ark get the animals unique to exotic places on earth? He would have had to travel across the entire world to collect animals like Kangaroos. What about fish? They live in the water anyway.

    Question 5.
Why do you not believe in evolution? Why does evolution and your Bible have to be mutually exclusive? Couldn't God have still created the word and created us, but evolution still exist? For example, God created turkey but humans carefully bread them to become bigger and bigger.

    Question 6.
Is the God your Bible calls God different than what every other Bible calls God? For example, the Qur'an says "Those with Faith, those who are Jews, and the Christians and Sabaeans, all who have Faith in God and the Last Day and act rightly, will have their reward with their Lord. They will feel no fear and will know no sorrow." (Surat al-Baqara; 2:62).

    Question 7.
I don't know the exact details, but as a math student I have hard "The Bible says pi is 3." Can anybody explain this? Is it true? Why do people say this?
My assumption is the Bible gives dimensions of something, such that for these dimensions to be true, pi has to be exactly 3.

    ---

I will ask more later in this thread.

I appreciate answers to any of my questions. Or just general comments.

    Thank You.

Yes there are many versions of the Bible and every single of them is a damnable, heretical text that sends its believers to Hell....except for the AV1611 KJV. Read Pastor Zeke's sermon HERE on it.

Also, the Bible says in many places that it is the true word of God.

2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2nd Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2nd Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

    Question 2.
Why do you think the world if flat? Do you think all NASA missions, all math and science, all the images of the globe, etc are genuine?

If you can explain these things, maybe I can accept the world is flat.
All of this has been answered in the Flat Earth threads.

    Question 3.
Why are you all so racist? You do realize white Americans are not native to this land? We came here from Europe. American is not a race, white Americans are generally a mix of different European races. Is my assumption here wrong?
We are not racist. Does not Galatians 3:28 tell us that we are neither Jew nor Greek nor male nor female in Christ for we are all one? We also proudly ban any racists who come to our forum.

    Question 4.
How did Noah's ark get the animals unique to exotic places on earth? He would have had to travel across the entire world to collect animals like Kangaroos. What about fish? They live in the water anyway.
Not sure why this is a question. How did he get them? Well, he went out and got them. God told him to collect two of every kind, so he did.

    Question 5.
Why do you not believe in evolution? Why does evolution and your Bible have to be mutually exclusive? Couldn't God have still created the word and created us, but evolution still exist? For example, God created turkey but humans carefully bread them to become bigger and bigger.
Evolution contradicts the Bible. How can one absurd crazy theory that we evolved from mud turning into a fish turning into a monkey turning into a human be compatible with the rational truth that God's breath animated dust and formed a man, and then made a woman out of that man's rib?

Yes our God is not the same God worshipped by the Muslims or Jews. If it was the same God, we would be the same religion. By definition, a religion is set apart from others by the god it worships.

    Question 7.
I don't know the exact details, but as a math student I have hard "The Bible says pi is 3." Can anybody explain this? Is it true? Why do people say this?
My assumption is the Bible gives dimensions of something, such that for these dimensions to be true, pi has to be exactly 3.
    Pi is indeed 3.

"And he [Hiram] made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one rim to the other it was round all about, and...a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about....And it was an hand breadth thick...." — First Kings, chapter 7, verses 23 and 26

You're a math student. You can do the division and see it comes out to 3 exactly.

      Re: Greetings All

Wow thank you for spending time on each one of my questions.

I now have more questions about your answers:

      1.
      Will read those. Thank you.

      2.
      Same

      3.
Ok that was a misconception on my end. My bad. Sorry.

      4.
You answered a question "how did he do it?" with "he did it."
Maybe my question was too vague.
How did Noah collect kangaroos? Did he go to Australia? In his time, that would have taken him his whole life.
How did he get strange exotic animals unknown in his time? What about animals on different contents?

      5.
You didn't answer my question. How do you explain humans breeding turkeys to become bigger and bigger? Humans also bread other animals, like house cats and dogs. Is this not evolution?

      6.
If its not the same God as Jews and Muslims, is it the same God as other Christianities?

      7.
Ahh thank you. I thought it must be something like this.
So according to the Bible, Pi == 3; or more precisely, the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle is exactly 3. (There are other definitions of Pi)
Archimedes, using this definition of Pi proved Pi is between 3+10/71 and 3+1/7. That range does not include 3. Is his proof wrong?

Why is it wrong? I see no mistake. I can also approximate Pi myself and get a range that does not include 3.

That is a common misconception to all but Qur’an scholars. There are many, many versions dating back to its beginning. In fact nobody knows what the originals looked like.

And it has been translated into almost every language on earth.

Interesting claim. But I cannot find anything about this on my research? Can you please quote your sources?

Translations of the Qur'an are not the Quran. The Qur'an is in Arabic.

Is there a non-translated version of your Bible? How do you know the true word of God translates well? How do you know the people who translated it didn't make any mistakes?

                Please read the following.

2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Habakkuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
(God told the prophet what to write.)

Jeremiah 36:2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.
(God told the prophet what to write.)

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
                (Jesus authenticated the Bible )

Because God was guiding them. Read this.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Google is your friend. Look for Qur'an higher criticism. A two second search gives: http://www.askwhy.co.uk/truth/b00moslemorigin.php I am not here to do your homework. As to multiple translations, you can find them easily on the Internet. We have an English translation in our library and I have one on my own bookshelves.
