  • Changing for Christ!

Hello to all my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Friends, I joined this True Christian™ forum a few days ago. Sadly, I joined under the pressures of Satan himself, to defend an evil website. I used to consider myself to be a Christian until I engaged in the resounding discussion I procured here on this board. After initially rejecting the wise words spoken to me here, I searched my heart for a good long while and found myself admitting my wrongness to myself. Now that I have repented I have come back to this forum to hopefully learn more from the True Christian™ members here.
I have applied at Drake University, near Freehold, Iowa for the upcoming college semester for transfer. Should I be accepted (God willing), I will be moving to Freehold and leaving my sinful past behind me. I am striving to become a True Christian™ so that I might be able to worship our Lord properly, at Landover Baptist Church.

I ask all of the members here that I have wronged for their forgiveness.

Only True Christians(tm) can live in Freehold. So I suggest you get serious about that Bible study. It is the only way to learn what Christianity is really all about!
5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Well, this is promising. But your journey is just beginning. First I suggest you read the KJV1611 Bible from cover to cover. Then I suggest you begin to implement everything said within its pages. If you are successful at this, then you may enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Sweet Baby Jesus, I am so happy that you have given your life to Jesus. You speak of your sinful past, if you would please elaborate on the subject. It fills my heart with joy when I read a testimony.

As being what I used to consider a Christian, I have previously read all of the old KJV Bible. I do have some questions however in some of my interpretations, lest I fall to Satan's attempts to confuse me. I do not wish to prove to be a stumbling block for anyone by posting my confusion publicly. Is there any way I could be privately talked to? Perhaps a private Bible study by a True Christian™ member here?

Please see my previous forum posts on this board. I came here to defend a grossly distasteful website that now I shall not even speak the name of.

If you're truly serious about your devotion to The Lord Jesus Christ, it would be good if you would share your name with us because what is Dillxn?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Oh, yes, by all means. My username is one that I used back in my sinful days. Perhaps, if it is possible, would one of the board administrators mind changing it to something more appropriate?

My name is Dillon Marigold. Hopefully one day I'll have the honor of being known as a brother in Christ, and thus Brother Marigold

                    Re: Changing for Christ!

Another soul saved by Landover. Praise!
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

That's a pretty fruity name. What were your parents thinking???

Is it not a wonderful day? Another lost soul saved in the name of Jesus. I am so happy that I may just shout GLORY to the Heavens. Now if we could just get every damn Homer to see the Light Of Jesus(R) my day would be complete.

Well I'm not sure my dad had much to do with either my last or first name, as his last name was Marigold. It was my mom who decided to marry him and take on that name. It was also she who decided to name me Dillon. At least, as their first born, I am a son. God, with all of His glorious grace decided to bless them with that, despite the fruity name. Praise Jesus!

SHOUT GLORY, another one for the home team! Anyways, your name is Dillon Marigold? Maybe, if you're actually who you say you are when I turn sixteen we can get married and you can take on Walker. I know that's pretty homer and liberal to do that but I think having the last name Walker far outweighs the homer liberal of having the last name Marigold.

                            Think about it, Dillon Walker.

Also, could you name your five favorite Bible scripture? I'm quite interested to learn more about you, Dillon.

                            PRAISE THE LORD, Janine Walker

I believe that is something you should discuss with your father, first and foremost. And girls typically should not be married until 18 anyway, if I am not mistaken.

I will dedicate a few of my hours of prayer each night to asking God about such a prospect. When the time grows nearer, I will also consult a wiser True Christian™ than I about such matters.

Oh goodness, I have no partiality to certain scripture, but I can give you five random excerpts that I happen to like and / or are applicable to me especially now:
                              1. 1 Peter 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
                              2. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
                              3. Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
                              4. 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
                              5. John 1:4 - 5 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
