Well, I am new. I have led a life of tragedy, and feel like giving up. I have come here to feel safe;...I do not know what else to do. I have no job, live a life of self isolation...a life of solitude...and do not know what else to do; nor where to turn. There is no sunshine in my life...can anyone offer advice or help me??? Please...I beg you...

I spent some time in Spring Valley near Nyack and Sleepy Hollow. You will survive the week in NY.

Buy some rice. It is nutritious and inexpensive. Second day old bread is cheap. Buy some.

If you stop smoking you will have more money left. Besides if it is as cold as you say in NY then your breath will look like you are smoking so nobody will know you quit anyway.

Get a 1611 King James Bible. It might give you some good ideas and hope. Forget about the verses talking about temple prostitutes. They don't make much money these days anyway.

I see you live near or in Queens. I was there once. I was also in the Bronx and Brooklyn. Manhattan is better, especially if you can afford it. NY is interesting to visit but I would not like to live there. Too many weird people walking about.

Can you take a subway? They use to be warm. Long time ago you could keep riding and riding. Libraries are also warm. You can even find a 1611 King James Bible there.
