    Re: Road to come enlightened

I haven't provided any scripture supports? Are you serious? I've been preaching against it because the way this man should lead his life can be done far more compassionately than simply selecting individual quotes from the Bible. I am trying to preach a life of spiritual happiness for both himself and others. Perhaps the Bible may teach one thing, but I am offering what is a kinder way to live, and one that I think will really help Elijah, and his friends.

I am not offering up anything radically different from what I am sure, as Christians, you believe in yourselves. So no, I will not attempt to back myself up with what is written in the Holy Book, because, to be decent people you don't need to run through word for word, you can live your life for others, and still maintain your faith and your belief. I'm not trying to get into an argument on such a petty difference to I will leave it there.

Elijah, all I can do is implore you to explore other ways of living, as the path to peace can't be contained in shunning your friends away.

I can understand the way you look at it, but Hell isn't prison.. you don't come out a better person after realizing your mistakes. You stay there.. for eternity. That's more than a thousand years!

What does that sentence in bold even mean?

I didn't realize being destined for Hell or Heaven is a petty difference. If that's how you see it, I'd like to know what you consider the difference between a priest and a Baptist pastor, petty again?

Elijah, all I can do is implore you to explore other ways of living
Implore to explore? Who says that?!?

as the path to peace can't be contained in shunning your friends away.
I think you meant more obtained because contained in that sentence would probably mean "prevent" rather than "have or hold" because of the wording.

How are Atheists his friends? How can someone without a moral compass really be a trustworthy friend who has your back? How can you trust someone who think it's okay to murder babies. How can you trust them with your wallet, your secrets or your path to God?

        Re: Road to come enlightened

Thanks for your polite reply Tammi, but bringing up all those things about God's wrath... This is not what I believe in doing. I believe you have to live your life kindly, which is not what is done in your named situation/s. Perhaps I am wrong in believing against the events of the Bible, but does God not exercise forgiveness?

Elijah himself is a strong believer in God, yet admits to mourning over the loss of life in Iraq in the name of God. You might argue that if God wills these kinds of things, then he is wrong to worship him, but there he is, and Reverend Osborne was good enough to offer his advice on the matter. There are many different takes on Christianity, but all believe in bringing happiness to it's followers, and if Elijah is unable to cease is unhappiness with these events, then he may find happiness elsewhere. Which is still a victory, as one more leading his life is a similar way to yours is better than him remaining atheist to you, is it not?

Understandably, not one of you has yet questioned about whether what you believe is right (this is your chosen belief, I understand that).

My point is that, to Elijah, you may not appear completely correct, just as to you, I am incorrect. Now to what you have said:

I was not aware that this was hard to understand, but I'll attempt to reiterate. I am offering a very similar belief to yours, near the same, in fact.

You are picking out a sentence of no relevance to your argument, whether this is an attempt to reduce my credibility or is simple trolling I don't know.

What if I replaced that word with "held"?

Atheism is a belief, one based on conclusions that person has reached through soul searching or heavy research. This does not mean they have no morals regarding murder, secrets or religion.

I am digressing from my original point of posting here. I understand you will not be convinced any way, just as I will not convinced of yours.

If Elijah would like to post more thoughts here he can, until then I will leave it at that. You know what I believe in, and my point was for Elijah, not you. I understand your point, and have no reason to convince you otherwise. I was posting to help Elijah to make his own decisions based on his own soul search, not yours.

Blah blah blah, all you do is digress and blow smoke up the boys ass. I haven't heard anything about you yet, heathen. Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

So, you're posting Satanic beliefs on a Christian forum and you believe that has nothing do with us Christians browsing the forums? Are you really that dim? Sure, you may think this young man may be cute and you may guide him into your house like the predator you are but we are here to STOP that kind of behavior.

We take God's Word and we try our hardest to spread it. You sit here trying to stand in the way and you believe it's not our business to get involved. Do you really believe we're going to let you lead His Children away from Him?

                How crazy are you?!

I would like to hold any counter-arguments you have there.

It's come to my attention through an infraction that this has gotten out of hand. For now I'd like to reiterate that my intention here was and is to speak solely to Elijah.

I apologize for being overly vexatious and would appreciate it if the arguments ceased.

                  Thanks.

                        Re: Road to come enlightened

Good morning all and thank for your input. I really appreciate that you care about me and my life on earth and my life after death.

The thing what has been parching my mind for long time now, is that when George Bush gave an order to attack to Irak, he said that god told him to do that.

With all my understanding, he is not baptist or anything even close to that. How can god let him to do that if he is not believing the real god. Basically, i got the feeling that he is lying to everyone and using our sweet Jesus and god so he can reach his own goals. And he is obviously trying to profane the name of the great lord. I know the god wouldn't talk to the person, who doesn't believe in right god.

Please guide me if i'm wrong, please guide me again should i just accept this and thank the lord because of that. I'm just human and my mind is really heavy burden for me.

I'm really sorry that i have so much questions, but as you have read my background, im really trying to believe right, but too many things make it so difficult. I do not accept that they are telling to everyone that it's god will, even if they don't know who is the real god, and what the god wants.
Leviticus 20:13, If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
2nd Chronicles 15:13, That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Of course George Bush is a Real Christian(tm). Even if he doesn't follow the Bible exactly, he will still go to Heaven.

As the Epistle of James tells us

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

George W. Bush led so many people to be free to hear the Word of Christ.

What God wants is in the pages of the Holy Bible. We need not question it ever.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

But i have little bit hard times to interpret english bible to my own language, which is finnish. Yes, i come from cold north where the whole race is pure white like a snow.

I know that i'm not going to learn perfect english that fast. I want to read King James bible, but because we have to follow it from word to word, it's sometimes difficult. I do not want to understand God words incorrectly. That's why i'm asking your help here before God improves my english to that level I understand everything from word to word.

2nd Chronicles 15:13, That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

How can we teach you what you are unwilling to learn? Shouldn't the reward of learning the most used language in the world be enough? No? Perhaps learning God's language should be enough? No? How about learning the language that the most books, movies and anything having to do with life is written in? I think that should be enough for you to learn the American people's language.

For whatsoever things were written foretime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
                              Romans 15:4

Have patience and hope and you will learn in no time.

                                Hello,

As you can see i can speak pretty good english already. I've now studied two years of english.

Are you saying that i have to wait till i learn perfect english without any misunderstandings? Or is this the sign i'm not chosen by god?

The language which was taught for me, is whole different language than english. We don't even pronounce alphabeticals the same way than you. Are you saying, or is God saying to me that if i can't translate english to finnish from word to word, i'm not good enough for Jesus Christ and all mighty God?

I really would like to get answer from some more experienced son of god.
