Mother on her knees for God

Hello everyone,
My husband suggested that I post on this forum in my free time as a reward for being a loving and obedient mother and wife for 15 years.

We are blessed with 5 boys and 7 girls and live a devoted Baptist life in Southern Alberta. When I am not cooking or cleaning I enjoy speaking with other women from our church, reading scripture, and listening to Focus on the Family.

My favourite and most inspirational bible quote is:

"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

Welcome to our forum! It is good to hear from a right-thinking Christian, even if you're not American. I am sorry you have to live in Canada. How many degrees below zero is it right now? Have any of your children ever been attacked by wolves, bears, or Eskimos?

Praise Christ for the 5 boys. Do the female offspring contribute to the household at all, when they are clean? Or is it the usual self-pity and complaining about being of the lesser sex?

Thank you for your welcome Brothers! My husband has permitted me to respond to your inquiries. Our prayers are with our American brothers and sisters during this "dark" time in politics and we are looking forward to 2012. We are currently trying to have another blessed son to raise in the true Baptist way and your comments on the sexes of my children are motivating. Thankfully some of our prayers were answered as our 3 oldest children are male. Our oldest daughter will be 12 years in April. She is temperate, modest, and pure. All of our children are obedient: our daughters all want to be good wives someday and our oldest son is attending men's Bible study with his father.

But I don't covet you or your kids, cuz that would be a SIN, and I NEVER sin!

Welcome! As an ex-Albertan (Calgary) I am curious as to where you are from. Also as a mother of three boys (oldest will be 10 at the end of March) I am curious about your daughters and if you pass the interviews and are granted True Christian(TM) status, then perhaps our husbands should speak.

Also the oldest may not be one you would want your daughter to marry as he is a bit on the "wild" side. The 9 year old is much more of the studious type and was even baptized before his older brother.
