No sir, I checked and it has yet to be clarified. But what do I know? I'm still Unsaved Trash.

    Carry on, please.

I think Fatimah is a female name, unless it is a case of misspelling. Perhaps Fatwa is what he meant to type.

        Yes I am a woman.

No I don't need nobody's permission to use a computer.

        No am not a commie.

And no I did not mean to compare Jesus with anybody. I understand you may find this offensive.

But please understand that I find the way you talk about women offensive too.

Maybe you can guide me on where to start to know more about Jesus and Christianity, rather than discussing my sexual and political orientation.
        Thank you.

You seem a bit defensive dear. I know women are prone to irrational sensitivity, but if you would simply calm down, we are here to help you.

Earlier you stated that you were unsure if you were a lesbian. Is this possibly the source of your unreasonable anger? Trust me dear, I know what it is like to be unloved by God and to have unnatural yet undeniable sexual urges. As a cured Ex-Gay©, I may be the best person on these forums with whom to discuss these latent lesbian tendencies you are struggling with.

He did have an encouraging sounding name at least though, in a way. Like a kind of 'Attaboy' title.

Fatimah, you do know about Jesus already. He was one of your profhets, remember. OK, you didn't think of him as your Saviour, but he surely is in the Qu'ran. Isah, IIRC.

Mohammed didn't really value him, and did not see him as the Son of God. Just a mere prophet. Mohammed was stating that he himself was the last real Prophet. Right?

I do understand you live in a weird place, with a Bridge between Europe (oh well) and "Asia") over the Bosporus. Heck, these days, there are even Formula I contests over there. One of these days, Turkey might even become a part of Europe (after being a candidate since 1961...)

Tell me why you want to denounce Allah, and get right with the Baby Jesus.

Please forgive my Brethren, as they don't exactly have much sympathy for the denial of the Christian Truth™, but then again, the faith you are trying to leave behind you didn't exactly make friends in the last decade or so.

Why would you want to become a Christian?

Turkey is a very special place, and Istanbul even more so.

                      Why jump?

                      Tell me.

                        Re: Hello from Istanbul!

May I echo brother wide-Open's sentiments Fatima and echo what he says about some of our Brethren. They are only doing their Christian duty in the way they know how. It takes different types of people to make up God's joyous Creation.
Remember: We are all different. We are all individuals. We have all got to think for ourselves. You don't need some Mullah telling you what to do. You need Jesus Christ and the community of the Faithful.

So what is it that is making you want to turn to Jesus' love sister?

I'm not saying this is a highly tolerant country. And I don't think there are many on the planet. Yet it is democratic by definition. And you can imagine it probably was not a very easy job for Ataturk to build a secular-democratic system to replace a monarchy ruled by sharia laws. The trick was to take his core idea of freedom, secularity, democracy and take it further, which did not happen. The military created their own religion which has become Ataturk.

I hope I managed to make the quote properly, but you don't expect me to. I mean as a woman.

                                1) Let's turn her for Jesus first.
                                2) I already have a wife.
