Hello, my name is Christopher Macias. I live in Hollywood, California. I'm 22 years old. I am currently working in the film industry. I was raised a Christian all my life, I like believe I have, and was raised with good values. I go to Church of the Blessed (pronounced Bless-Ed). Unfortunately there are some negatives to my life. When I was born my Dad ditched me and my Mom, so it's just been me and her all my life (I have a large family so that is good when growing up (not as in lots of brothers and sisters but I mean lots of uncles, aunts, and cousins)) I also have Asthma which has effected my life, not for better. My favorite hobby's are like I said Film, I ocassionaly pertake in photography, I find it rather relaxing, and I also enjoy History more specifically United States and European History. The reason I have decided to come to this website is to open my eyes to possibilities of a better life. If there is anything more you would like to know, feel free to ask I would be happy to answer.

Re: Hi from Los Angeles
Sorry, I forgot to put some things. I felt that I should add these two things after reading a couple of other intros.
I found Jesus at a time when I was around 16. I had some trouble in my life, and some problems. I tried asking family, couldn't help. I tried going to a Psychologists, couldn't help. Finally I was referred to a friend to a local church, I started attending, began talking to those there and in a matter of months I was baptized.
My favorite bible quote is the old classic golden rule. "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" - Mathew 7:12

Re: Hi from Los Angeles
I'm sorry to read about your father leaving. That must have been very hard on you, but thankfully you have a Father in Heaven.
I'm talking about God. He will always be there for you to punish you when you fall into sin.
Why did he leave?Read the series of the greatest smitings in the Bible.
The 67 deadly sins of the New Testament.
Do you believe you are a sinner? God doesn't listen to the prayers of sinners.

Re: Hi from Los Angeles
I have no idea why he left. I honestly don't care, he turned his back on me and my mom, my life is good now and I am very happy as of late. And I don't believe I would be where I am right now if he was here.

I hope and pray that the community here can put you on the road to your salvation. God bless.

Welcome to the most Saved™ place on the internet web! Shout Glory! Your story is touching, and I wish you all the best here on the LBC forums. If you and your mother drove your father away years ago, what toil or labor do you do for Christ? Does your mother bake great pies? If not, was that related to your father being driven away? God Bless!Originally posted by Chris Macias View PostHello, my name is Christopher Macias. I live in Hollywood, California. I'm 22 years old. I am currently working in the film industry. Secondly I thank you for the empathy of my story, but me and my Mother did not drive my Father away. He ran, ran from the responsibilities of being a father, and ran from overall doing what was right.

A cautious welcome Chris.Originally posted by Chris Macias View PostI have no idea why he left. I honestly don't care, he turned his back on me and my mom, my life is good now and I am very happy as of late. And I don't believe I would be where I am right now if he was here.
You do know that you are guilty of serious sin?
Exodus 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
Proverbs 23:22 "Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old."
1 Timothy 5:1 "Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;"
Walk with Jesus ChristMatthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
