  • Hi guys

As my name suggests, I am a fake Christian slayer. If I see something against the Bible, I point it out. Do not be alarmed by my name, though. I come in peace. I got saved when I was 5 but when I was in 8th grade, I learned what it truly meant to follow God. Ever since then I've been growing closer and closer to God.

I don't really have a favorite verse. The whole Bible is awesome and I don't wish to disclose my general location by giving my church name.

    Gotchya.

Don't ask, Don't tell. My lips are sealed.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Because until you prove otherwise that is what you are considered. All new members start out as "Unsaved Trash" as we get a lot of atheist God-mockers here.

I see. Well I don't think that unsaved people are trash, so to speak. Keep in mind the saved, as well as the unsaved, are God's creation. We all were created in his own image too. Unsaved people just need more love than saved people do. I have noticed a bit of intolerance around here, and I think that intolerance is not the way to reach atheists. Proverbs 10:12 shows this pretty well.

Think for a moment. If only a small percentage of people go to Heaven, then most go to Hell, right? If every person is born a sinner and must repent, then everyone starts out destined for Hell and only through proving devotion to God can a person get the Golden Ticket to Heaven. Accordingly, listing people as unsaved trash is actually a very wise efficiency move. Think about it.

I understand where you come from, but those thoughts really don't connect well. Proving devotion to God will not save a person, first. We do not earn salvation, but it is through faith and asking him to be the Lord of our life. Romans 4:1-3. Devotion will naturally come to those who have a true repentant heart.

What you're actually doing is calling God's own creation trash. You could put "Pending Status" upon registration and then investigate from there.

I'm not trying to argue for the sake of arguing btw, I'm just trying to be of help. Proverbs 27:17

I like the next verse better.

So then what does this tell us? We should use the rod, but out of love. Calling someone "trash" is certainly not love. Intolerance is not love either. You want to use the rod with love? Explain your reasons and facts for their beliefs being wrong without calling them names or being closed-minded. Then pray for them afterwards, earnestly asking for them to see the light. You see what I mean? It's a whole different approach and a more biblical one at that.

Then why will we be rewarded or punished in the end by our works and what we have done?

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Indeed, those have been encouraging verses. I now am reminded that if I do what is right, I will be rewarded with blessings. They do not earn my salvation however. Nothing in any of those verses have stated ANYTHING about salvation. I do believe you have twisted this scripture.

Works do not get you into Heaven. They get you blessings. The Catholics believe in works getting you into Heaven, not Christianity.

There is a HUGE difference with what Jesus says and what you say. First, God is the creator of all things. He can say what he wants, when he wants. Second, he did not call his creation trash. He refers them as fools, liars, etc. Trash is unsalvagable, but everything he mentions has to do with things that can be turned.

Matthew 5 clearly states that we are to love our enemies and pray for them. How much more clear of a statement do you need?
