    Hello All!

    Hello all members!

    I thought I would introduce myself to my fellow christian souls! My name is Mark, I live in Indiana and am 18 years of age. I go to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, where I study His word every Sunday and Wednesday.

    One of my favorite passages int he bible comes from the Book of Psalms, and it goes like this:

    "Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight" Psalm 144

    An honorable mention would be;

    "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

    These are my favorite verses because as a child I was very angry and prone to violent outbursts, until one night I had a dream where The Good Lord came to me and told me that I must become a good Chirstian. So after much trepidation, I learned to channel my anger towards the enemies of god, and now I consider myself a Warrior of God.

    Re: Hello All!

    That's great Mark, welcome!
    You seem to be on the right track.

    Along those lines, I like.

    Isaiah 49:2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

    It's great that, like King David, you hate the enemies of God. I have always loved this imprecatory prayer.
    Psalm 139:19-22 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
    For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
    Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
    I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

          Re: Hello All!

          Hi Mark, welcome. So rare we get a nrmal person. So many trolls and God haters. At times, it seems like we are the minority.

          How many sons has your seed created for Jesus?
          Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
          Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
          Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
          Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
          Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
          Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

            I have been married to my dear woman Andrea a little less than a year now, and we just had our first little God Warrior two weeks ago. I decided to name him Peter, for obvious reasons.

                I apologize if I came across as disrespectful Pastor Ezekial; truly I meant no disrespect to Pastor Sampson and Brother Hutchins. Furthermore, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, it was very courteous and righteous to do so!

                  I think you will find that Pastor Ezekiel is firm but fair. Tell us friend, have you ever backslid and committed any horrible sins? Have you ever killed anyone, take the Lord's name in vain, or eaten shellfish?

                    Re: Hello All!

                    Brother Portway, I can tell you I have never committed any truly horrible sins, however wouldn't you agree that all sins are equal in the eyes of God, according to my interpretation of James 2:10. What is your opinion on the matter, brother?

                    I have, unfortunately, never killed an enemy of the Lord, but I am only 18 years old, and I believe I have plenty of time to do the good Lords bidding. =)

                    I have never eaten shellfish in my life, as a matter of fact I tend to distrust any food which comes from the sea, unless it is a fish I caught myself.

                      I will echo my brothers and welcome you here. For a lad of only 18 you seem to have your spiritual head on straight. It is refreshing to see a young man taking the right path. And I think you are absolutely correct - there is no such thing as a "small" law of God. ALL of God's commands come from the same ultimate authority and should be obeyed with the same seriousness. It's not like you can make a distinction as, say, the difference between parking illegally and committing murder. In God's eyes, you will be judged for breaking any of His laws with the same measure of damnation. Who are we mere mortals to put a sliding scale of punishment into place - with the exception of specific punishments for transgressions as defined in books such as Leviticus.

                      Keep up the good work, friend!
                      Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

                      2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.
