    Hello

Hi, I'm Cecily. Um...what to say, what to say... Nothing much, really. I love everyone and everything in a purely platonic sense, and I'm probably one of the most caring people you'll ever meet. (From a friend of mine, I don't think I'm that good.)
Matthew 5:44 -- But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

    Welcome friend,

Please tell us about your personal relationship with Jesus and your' favorite Bible verse.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Well it seems that you have quite the fan in your friend. I hope and pray that this is not some steamy nubile young lezbean drama that you are alluding to...

Please tell us about yourself. Which church do you attend? Does your husband give his permission for you to be in here? How many soldiers for Christ have you popped out of your mommy oven?

I'm sure that the ladies of Landover would love to hear about your husband's favorite pie.
      Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Interesting point Pastor Zeke. The ladies of our church do seem to be quite proud of their pies. I come across them all the time talking about whose eating whose pie. It seems to be a pretty big deal for them.

No no, nothing like that I assure you. It is a male friend who tells me this the most, two of them actually. I'm not married yet (will be in the next few years, his family wants us to wait until we're out of college), so no little ones yet. And even though he isn't my husband, the man who will be so has given me his permission to be on here. I'm actually looking for a church to call home here away from my home (college), but no luck as of yet.

And oddly enough, my fiancee can't stand pies other than chocolate. >.> I don't know why...

            Whoops, wrong button.

To finish what I was saying, my favorite bible verse is Matthew 5:44 -- But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

And my relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in my life.

              Re: Hello

But what do you think of this verse?

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Psalm 21:9

Or this one (one of my favorites!):

And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Revelation 9:5,6

              Or this one!

The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3

Oh I love the Bible! Praise the Lord!

Pastor Bobby-Joe, you'll have to forgive us for this little infatuation. It's just, when you spend so many hours working in the kitchen to get buns in the oven and all the desserts so nice and creamy, it makes my heart leap when I see you all munching down on those pies. Personally, I keep a notebook detailing who is chowing down on whose. If you would like any details, feel free to pop by for a cup of tea and a cookie.

Now, Cecily, what would you consider to be your best type of cuisine? I myself would put you down for a reasonable marble cake and perhaps a nice lot of roast beef and vegetables. I'm always on a look out for ladies here at Landover who can provide something just right for our menfolk.
"She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day" - Luke 2:36-37

                      Re: Hello

Miss Cecily, may the peace of Allah be upon you.

I may recommend tabouleh as a good dish for female students. It easy of making, and low caloric count maintains the female figure well. Not so much hard to make as French souffle, not so much grease as USA cheese burger, not so much unsanitary contaminations as food make by a Turk.

O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah if it is (indeed) He Whom ye worship. Koran 2:172

I also am at university but only as kitchen worker. But hope to be accept as student someday despite older age than most student.

Why are you at college? I trust you're studying Motherhood at LBU or Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Anything else would be most worrying. Simone de Beauvoir went off to college, and look what happened to her - she ended up naked and dead, just like Norman Mailer. Do you think Jesus approves of that?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I'm not Mormon, no, I'm only marrying one of them. And unfortunately I'm studying English because it is what my parents want me to do. They aren't good Christian parents, and they feel I should be able to take care of myself. So, I do as they ask of me while they pay for it. When I do graduate, I shall most definately rely on my good, strong, and supporting husband and never do a lick of work outside the home.

Holy hoppin' Huckabees! An English major hath come amongst us.

Praise the Lord, our prayers are answered.

The King James Bible is, as you know, not only God's infallible word but also a masterpiece of English prose-poetry.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar. Song of Solomon 8:8,9

Yet here on Landover we suffer mightily from posts containing bad spelling and worse grammar. Daily the heathens smite us with ramshackle sentences and lackwitted posts, with grammatical confusions most wild and unseemly.

But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. Isaiah 34:11

We read the Bible, and beauty is with us; we read the posts of the heathen and see confusion and the stones of emptiness. So a little clarity and concision shall be most welcome on our Godly forum.

You're marrying a mormon? Which wife will you be for him, #5? #9? Has he bought you a set of those magical underwears yet?
