Hello, friends! My name is Jim, I go to Middletown Baptist Church, in New Jersey. My favorite bible verse is Deuteronomy 13:15 "Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly"

While I am not much of a worshiper of Him compared to most of you I do try to stay very involved with Him and His almighty words portrayed in the bible. I am married and have a son as well.

That's a pretty long jump to get to that conclusion. If you really care to know vapor in this case is taken from the word 'vaporware'. Google defines it as: "Vaporware describes a product, usually software, that has been announced by a developer during or before its development, if there is significant doubt whether the product will actually be released.", however this can be applied to many things, in this case my name.

If you're saying that you hope that I am not a character in a comic book then no, I'm not. I am an actual person typing on a keyboard. I don't see how me having a word followed by 'man' makes me a "comic book person" regardless.

Well of course not. Why would I ever read something other than the bible? Also, what would a grown man with a family be doing reading comics for fun?

Is not the start of a discussion, much less a serious one as from what I have told you all so far in no way reflects that I would be a person to read comics.

I have my family, and God on which to spend my time. I would rather read the bible (as I do every night) over reading some comic book. Now, we are having a serious discussion, and I intend on treating it as such. The above however, was not.

I came in here to introduce myself, not to get into a debate on which comic books, if any are appropriate to read. I have even forbidden my son from reading comic books at a young age so as he wouldn't have his focus taken from the wonders of God.

On top of that I have done what I must already to become close to God, oh and how I feel Him and his wisdom with me always. Me posting a picture of Spider-Man holding a subway sandwich doesn't mean 'anything'.
It's simply and subtly saying that my screen name has nothing to do with my association with comic books just like a sandwich has very little to do with spider-man from what I've heard.

Despite the needless warnings issued to me and the assumptions of what I read I will try to become involved and active in this community with those who are friendly to me.
