I never said he was the protagonist of the Bible. I said he was the focus point. I am very well aware that he doesn't APPEAR in most of it, but he sure is mentioned and spoken of plenty.

The New Testament takes up around 1/4 of the Bible. Even the prophetic verses predicting Jesus' coming from the Old Testament don't take up that much room. I would say no more that 1/3 of the Bible is talking about Jesus.

It's more about crimes and punishments than that.

Jesus does not proclaim the entire Law is still in effect. He proclaims that the TEN COMMANDMENTS are still in effect. The laws that pertain to society in any stage of development.

Please cite chapter and verse where Jesus says that only the Ten Commandments are still in effect. "My pastor said . . ." is not a citation.

For that matter, list the Ten Commandments for me and explain to me how you keep each and every one of them.

Could you remind me where Jesus says that only the ten commandments rather than the entire law are still in effect? Because I clearly seem to recall Jesus saying otherwise:

Luke 16:14
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. ... now I'm sure you're not trying to argue that the Ten Commandments are the "least" commandments in the Bible?

Also, while you're busy educating me, could you tell me which version of the ten commandments Jesus says are still in effect? The ones on the tablets that Moses broke after God threatened to wipe the tribe of Israel off the face of the earth or the ones God actually based the covenant on? The latter has the part about not seething a kid in its mother's milk.

Note that these are the only laws that are actually called the "ten commandments" in the Bible, so God is being clear what the ten commandments are. The fake version that was destroyed when the Israelites violated God's first attempt at a covenant by worshipping a golden calf obviously were not called the ten commandments - and yet fluffy bunny salad-bar "christians" do not seem to tire of spreading those falsehoods.

Your rights to judge someone because they do not follow certain laws (such as keeping the sabbath holy), is non-existent. If you are a Christian and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, your sins are forgiven and you are no longer bound by the old laws or the laws of man.

Again - could you point out where it says in the Bible that I am "no longer bound by the old laws or the laws of man" if I have accepted sweet Jesus as my Lord and Savior? Much obliged. Because I was under the impression that the Bible commands us to follow the secular rulers, for they have been instated by God:

Romans 13:1-2
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

...and even to pay up and follow the secular tax code:

Matthew 22:17-21
Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Shew me the tribute money. Thou shalt have no other gods before me: pretty easy commandment to keep as a Christian

Um, the Bible doesn't say not to work for money on the Sabbath, it says not to do any labor, or allow anyone else to do work for you.

Do you prepare your meals the day before, or do you cook on Sundays? That's labor.

Do you do yard work on Sundays, or laundry? That's labor.

Do you go out to eat or to shop, thus forcing others to work for you?
