Well, I would have opted for Jesus, but what I meant was a living person not like ethereal or whatever. And, there's nothing wrong with admiring people's accomplishments... I know who I am and what I stand for so their religions won't sway me from my connection with the Lord.

There are plenty of reasons for Christians to admire him, but not liberals. For example, I like the way he extended the Bush tax cuts, and how he continues subsidies to agribusiness (including for corn ethanol, which actually uses MORE fossil fuel to create than the energy derived from the ethanol! HA!). He also reinstated the Godly Patriot Act. Most of all, I love the way he stood up for Christians in the case of http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files...rriott-v-winn/, demanding that the Supreme Court find that taxpayers do not have standing to sue when the government directs their tax dollars to Christian schools. AMEN!

But why would YOU like him? Because he supports baby-killing?

How about Gandhi? Do you like that he had to wash his hands after shaking a Muslims hands, or that he pushed to split India into two countries to get rid of all the dirty Muslims?

Obama is Christian and attends church so I don't know where you got your apocryphal information from, brother.

I don't vehemently support abortion but I respect the decision to choose it as a solution given the circumstances. I used to live in a bad bad bad neighborhood so I have better idea on what's going on.

I'm a full-time student with an open mind to different things. I used to be a proud libertine back in high school because I lived in an impoverished neighborhood with my mom, but I started to attend church sermons and whatnot and just recently got baptized (after receiving the Holy Ghost ofc) !

Frankly, I hope we can get all along - I've been meandering in this section for the past week and I think you guys are a bit zany and take the word 'extreme' to new heights, but at the same time, you guys really intrigue me and I'd like to know all of you better.

I'm also a liberal and African-American so I hope that revelation won't pose any problems. Oh yeah, my role models on Earth are: Barack Obama, Mahatma Gandhi and Bruce Lee.

I see this observation leveled at us quite frequently, and I always pose the following question and have never received an answer:

"Would you please post a link to a post from a True Christian™ where he has misquoted the KJV Bible, or misrepresented it in any way, or has "interpreted" it to mean something other than what was explicitly dictated by God originally?"

I'm not going to nitpick every single post in this forum - all I have to say is that you guys take things from the Bible wayy tooo literally despite the fact that there are other lucid interpretations. You guys take a verse from the Bible and then twist it to your heart's desire until you feel like it furthers your cause. (trolling)

Additionally, I've come to a conclusion that this forum is nothing but a farce lol and every one of you take pictures from Google and assume the role of the person in the picture. I highly doubt that Landover and this 'congregation' (more like a freak show) are even real. You guys just use this forum as an escapism because your churches in the real world excommunicated your asses cuz of lunacy ( No real church would advocate the beating of women.)

You read a few 'fun' sections, go to Church for an hour and consider your obligation to God to be done. If you do not do anything else, if all you ever do for the rest of your life is continue to mock us, please, actually read the complete Bible and when doing so, realize God wants us to follow all of it except where doing so conflicts with secular law. Yes, the Church does exist. I am in Freehold nearly every week, I stay a week or more at a time all year long, often staying at Rev. Osbornes place or at the Landover Westin. I have been thinking about buying some land there and building a home though it is still in the planning stage.
So yes, I have met almost all of the TRue Christian™ members of the Church, certainly all the men.

That is the biggest nonsense you have puked out so far.

God is very clear on us having to take the Bible literally. He even explicitly forbids us to make changes to it: Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

Please notice it doesn't say things like "this part of the Bible expires in 2011" so all of the Bible is still 100% relevant!

This is a violation of secular law. We have already explained to you, repeatedly, with Scripture, that we are commanded to obey the powers that be, because they have been placed in authority by God.

Nobody said to cut someone else's hands or feet off. Where did anyone here suggest that? There is only ONE Biblical instance of directed hand amputation, in Deuteronomy 25:

11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

12 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

So now you are saying that God's Law changes over time, even though the Bible says it doesn't.

You are also saying that God is unable to craft law appropriate for all time, because apparently He is incompetent.

Finally, you are saying that God, who created the ENTIRE UNIVERSE IN 6 DAYS, is unable to alter the Bible -- every copy on the planet, instantly -- for an update if He wishes us to do something different than what He previously instructed.
