Re: why?

I will let you know I am true to myself. I am here to find out why you believe the way you do, I am a very curious individual, again I am not here to bash your religion, I just want to know why you believe in the bible so strongly. Every time I ask this question, you refer to the bible. Okay, so I get you think the way you do is because the bible says it is true, however how do you know what the bible is saying is true? Then you go on to say that because I have faith, but then I ask, why do you have faith, then you quote the bible again, it just goes around and around. I have given why I believe the way I do, and that is because from what I have observed throughout my life, and it is something that works for me, and I have seen mostly good from it. Now how can you refute what I believe? Really in the long run, I want to better understand each religion in the world, and from learning we can better understand ourselves and our planet.

Why would I want to "understand" a religion that will earn me a ticket to Hell? That simply doesn't make sense. It would be like me learning Finnish when I have absolutely no desire to visit Finland.

(Yes, I am comparing Finland to Hell.)

I am really on an objective to better understand the world and its people, in the long run I want to make the world a better place, in which every person living is happy, is not looked down upon, and making our world a utopia. I believe that it isn't the religion and the beliefs in the world, however the people taking it upon themselves and saying what they believe in is the truth. Why can't everyone just go throughout life and have their beliefs without it conflicting with others beliefs.

So now, after writing all that, I have observed it, and realized that I originally posted this entire thing, was because I was frustrated to see how narrow minded some individuals were on this website, and how it could translate into bad things in the outside world. I came here to change certain peoples views that other religions and others beliefs aren't necessarily wrong, and that we are all not very different.

Well, why didn't you SAY so!

This site has been spreading the Word about Our Lord Jesus Christ for YEARS, but NOW because you came on here with some ill-reasoned "arguments" and scripturally-unsound conclusions, we are just going to fold up shop and find something worthwhile to do.

(1 Corinthians 1:18) "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

Re: why?

I don't want to start any conflict, I just want to know why? Is there something you guys know that the rest of us do not?

I came here to change certain peoples views that other religions and others beliefs aren't necessarily wrong, and that we are all not very different.

The truth comes out in the end, doesn't it? A fourteen year old know-it-all thinks that he can change the belief systems of everyone in the world. Good luck with that, boy.

Re: why?

Frankly, I think you are misrepresenting your position.

If you REALLY wanted to know, you would have closed this browser and stuck your nose in a 1611 KJV Bible instead of bombarding us with your incessant circular arguments.

The only consolation I get personally from all this is knowing that I'm right and you are wrong. Your persecution makes me feel pure and strong!

(Proverbs 25:6) "A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring"

You know in your heart exactly why you are here, and if you would only admit it to yourself, you just may take your first baby steps on the way to Salvation. As long as you are dishonest in your heart and in your acts, your feet will stay put.

Read the following verse and see how it applies to you:

(1 Corinthians 2:14) "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Yes, it does take faith, but it also takes some effort. How will you expend your efforts here on Earth?

Yours in Christ,

Re: why?

okay, I guess you did not read the entire thing, the only reason he accepted this, was because it consolidated power, he used the religion to his advantage. And sure it was in homes, but I bet you anything, even my life that it was in people's homes just because they were fearful. And What overwhelming evidence is there?!?!?! the only evidence I have received is from the source itself. I have not received any real evidence to prove it. Again, I want some proof other than, here it is in the bible, and I have faith, please? can you just give that to me, I really want to know!

Re: why?

So, a middle ages emperor makes an effort to secure the purity of his people by following the One True Religion, and all you can do is criticize? You haven't proven anything, you're nothing more than an arm-chair quarterback who wants to disprove the history of religion despite overwhelming evidence for it.
I believe that there were Christians before this happened.

Re: why?

Let me break this down for you plain and simple.

A long time ago, A Byzantine emperor Basil the second was at war with the Bulgar s and he went to Vladimir the first and said, "I will give you my daughter Anna if you Christianize your people. And Vladimir said well okay, I've researched many religions, however this religion is the only one which consolidates power the way I can agree with, and as well we share land near the same seas, so okay, I'll even send you 6000 of my Viringians to aid you.

So that is when Christianity first came about in most homes.

I believe that there were Christians before this happened.

Re: why?

It's hard to find one that's not riddled with homosexuals, liberals and heathen-lovers but, when you do, my advice is, move to the neighbourhood.

You need to open your eyes to the bible and forget all that other nonsense. What if there were two male dogs fornicating outside your window. Would you look at them and see the answer to your life?

I forgot to answer this, there are many answers there, you just have to observe, why are the dogs fornicating? What compels a dog to fornicate, and how does that differ from us. Like I said, the answers are most definitely all around us. I'm just seeking the answer to why Christianity? because from the sounds of it, you know why? Please tell me

Back to my original question, why the bible? why not any other religion, and why the bible? what makes you think the bible is right? I've asked this many times.

So then the people not being able to question their leaders back in those days just agreed, okay, this is fair. Any of those who questioned the religion were brutally murdered, so more and more people became a part of this religion due to fear of being killed. Over the years this religion has been passed down generations and generations, and there are those like yourself that do not like to question the bible due to fear of being condemned in hell, and there are those that ask the simple question why? I mean I have not got any other answer except, because the bible says so. Again, I've said this before and I will say it again, it is because of people like you that give religion a bad name, most wars are started due to conflicting religions, as well with people misinterpreting their religions and waging war on other countries.

Why can you not just ask the simple questions as to why your religion is the right one, and the others are not the right ones? Look back on your life, and ask yourself why do I accept Christianity, and why am I the way I am?

I will tell you the reason why I believe the way I do, it is not because of the family I have been raised in, it is not due to where I live, it is because of simple observation of what goes on through my life and many others lives.

Last but not least, someone really needs to answer my question without saying that "Because the bible said so" or "because I have faith". Tell me have you seen your savior? Have certain things the bible has said come true? Is the way the bible interprets the world, exactly how the world is? If any of those, please let me know, and give me reference. I am just a very curious person, wanting to better myself, as well as the world.

You do not need to look into a book for answers, because the answers are all around us, you just have to look. Open your eyes to the outside world and just not what is in your "backyard"

Re: why?

I doubt we would meet in real life. I don't go to Hindu or Buddhist temples as they are the work of Satan.

Jesus wants us to gain from the wisdom of His words. When you gain, yes yo do gain personally, but by being a True Christian, that gain extands to all your kin. That means personal gain is fine and, in fact, the only honourable path.

All these silly, liberal doo-gooders are only serving to destroy the work of good Christians with their ill-considered 'redistributing the wealth'. This is why they must be pitied in life and punished in eternity. To respect them works against God and you too will bathe in the fires of Hell.

I'll see you there bud

As for going to any churches, I don't go to any. Anyways, this is silly and a waste of time, like I said. Its human nature to have the last words, I keep falling prey to it, its quite irritating.

Anyways, I hope you find joy in your life if you have not already. You're all just too much to deal with, very ignorant to say the least. You do not need to look into a book for answers, because the answers are all around us, you just have to look. Open your eyes to the outside world and just not what is in your "backyard"

That being said, Cheers mate

Re: why?

Okay, now with you if I were to ever meet you in real life, I would be happy, you sound like a calm and collected individual and I can respect that. It is just some of you that really irritate me. Like I said I have nothing against the Bible/Christianity, as well any religion for that matter, its just the people that use the bible out of context for their own personal gain. All I say is that what is the harm in treating everyone with respect no matter what their skin color, their beliefs, and even the way they live their lives. I try to go by that, but it is very difficult when you have irritating individuals. That does not exclude myself. As the Buddhists believe we should become the best of ourselves. Why is that so hard?

Anyways, I hope your life will be filled with joy and happiness, Take care.

Re: why?

There is no twisting of words. The bible contains, with absolute clarity, everything you ever need to understand in order to live a life worthy of Our Savior. Anything less and you're on the fast-track to eternal damnation. You have a lot to learn but don't give up. Answers are at hand.

Re: why?

You probably just pick up the bible to justify the bad things you do in life, and twist the words in your favor.

You should stop shouting, go grab a copy of the good book, take a comfortable seat and allow the love of Jesus into your life. No matter how silly your ideas have been up until now, there is always hope for redemption. Praise the Lord!

Sorry for screaming at you lol, I was emphasizing the point. I have read a bit of the bible, and it says good things. I have nothing against the bible, I only have something against the people that believe in the bible. It says good things, I would never speak ill of the bible. You probably just pick up the bible to justify the bad things you do in life, and twist the words in your favor.

Re: why?

I know, my life is really pathetic, I should really re-think it. Its funny that you say I'm a Hindu, but the only reason you say that is because I believe in something similar to karma, I believe in a creator, does that make me christian? Really, think of what you say, you are probably the saddest bunch of people I have ever come across, so narrow minded and delusional. Really take time to think in why you believe in Christianity, you'll realize that your just and bunch of cowardly individuals, Really sad to see that, this planet is doomed because of people like you. Not because you believe in Christianity, but because you believe the way you do, that goes for any religion, It is the people that give religions a bad name.

PATHETIC.
