  • Greetings friends!

    What a day I can't tell you!

I'm very happy to have found your little spot on the internet, and hope I can forge many great friendships here, truly it is Gods will.

      Re: Greetings friends!

Certainly good brother. I've been a follower of Christ for many years now, although I do believe honesty is the best policy and the Lord sees all, so I must admit there were times in my youth that were tainted with wicked heathen ways.

Alchohol was my vice in those dark days, but thankfully I heard His voice and with the help of friends and family the power of Jesus has continued to strengthen me ever since. I'm not a young man anymore, but every day I feel energized with His love!

I have 2 strapping lads, both of whom I'm glad to say have found the path of Christ alot earlier than I did.

I guess you could say there are no witches in my flock!

            Hello Elias!

I like you already! There has been a parade of homos, Finns and "gamers" here recently, so to see a decent introduction is quite a relief.

Where do you go to church, friend?

What an odd thing to say.

Is there a problem with flocking witches in your town?

Welcome friend. Nothing like a God fearing adult.

Tell us how you realized Jesus was carrying you though life on His shoulders.

                Do you hunt?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                    Re: Greetings friends!

Well, Zechariah, (such a noble name I must say!)

I previously attended the Ashworth Road Baptist Church in Des Moines, prior to moving to Urbandale. The move it appears was possibly a blessing from God in disguise so to speak, as I felt the congregation there swaying a little to the egalitarian side, if you know what I mean.

I'm currently on the lookout for a worship community in the area with good traditional values, and would be delighted if any of you could point me in the right direction.

                      Hello James and thanks,

I could say it was an epiphany or moment of clarity, but in reality I just removed the blinkers created by that horrible drug and realized that Jesus was always there waiting for me to repent and invite me back into his loving arms.

I try to hunt, But I've never been a great shot! I am an avid fisherman though.

Well, seeing that Urbandale is a suburb of Des Moines, I don't see how you've moved so far that you can't continue at Ashworth Road while seeking a new spiritual home.

Olivet Church might be decent; they seem to have solid beliefs.

I will definitely be looking into this, and may God be with you always.

Hello Pastor Ezekiel, your warm welcome is a glad tiding indeed.

A valid question of course, but I am definately not a baby dunker, nor are my flock.
