I don't really know how to begin...

I've lived my life for too many years now doing stupid and horrible things...

I've been an atheist, even when there were doubts in the back of my mind the whole time. I'd ignore them, but they were always there. I lived my life only trying to amuse myself, all too often at other's expenses. And it has gotten me nowhere.

I'm miserable. I feel worthless and empty. I've lost the only person I ever actually loved, and I just feel like I'm already dead. I'm tired of living this way...

I don't want this anymore. I know the irony is that all of this comes to me on the very night it's all supposed to end. And the truth of the matter is, I don't care if it's too late or not. I hope it's not too late, but even if it is, I deserve everything that's coming to me, and I accept whatever fate God or whomever has decided for me. Heh, I don't even know whom exactly I need to be confessing this all to. God? Christ?

I'm empty, and I don't want to be empty anymore. I don't have the answers, and I desperately want them. I want to be able to feel again, to actually know what happiness and love feel like.

      Welcome!

Of course it's not too late (unless you've died since posting). What you need to do is get yourself a King James Authorized 1611 Version Bible, read it and follow all of the rules in it.

As for who to confess to, well we're not catholics so we don't believe in confession. If you want to talk to a pastor, there should be a couple on the boards somewhere (not sure which ones are online).

Re: I don't really know how to begin...

        I'm not even young. I'm nearly 30.

I've lied, I've stolen, I've deliberately used people for no other reason than my own personal gain and amusement. I was addicted to drugs for 3 years... I've turned my back on my family.

I'm working a job that is barely paying the bills. I've lost the one person in the world I actually even cared about because I couldn't get my life together. I repeat the same stupid mistakes again and again, and I can't stop myself. I don't want this anymore.

The true irony is that when I was in rehab, my case worker was a gentleman, ironically enough, named Moses. While he was going over my files, he noticed the name of my father, and then asked me the name of my grandfather. When I told him, he laughed, and told me that he got clean with my father, and that my grandmother had helped them both. For one moment, I actually saw that this was the work of God, and that I was on the right path. It lasted for all of three months before I wrote the whole incident of as coincidence.

And now here I am. I'm still clean, but nothing else has changed, and I feel just as empty and worthless as ever before.

I don't know if it's too late, but I'm ready to open myself up and let him in. I don't want to feel like this anymore.

Amen! This is just proof positive that you can't do it without God. You are helpless and weak. The only sense of morality comes from God. Without Him, you are useless and unable to stand up for yourself. Your feelings prove it!

Son, it's never too late as long as you draw breath:

Luke 15:3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Even Hitler in his bunker may have have repented and been saved at the last moment, and at this moment be rejoicing with Our Lord in Heaven. What are your trifling sins compared to his?

It is at your moment of greatest despair, when you are at your weakest, that you are most vulnerable to the Lord taking over your life. Go with it, and be in bliss for the rest of your life.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.
