the title says it all. Ive come here today to ask but one question. Why? why do you feel the need to bash gays, Catholics, Muslims, etc, all in the name of your god. Before you stop here and post something about how i am going to hell, please. i employ you, read the entire of my post and give me an answer to my question.
First off, i have read through a few pages of posts, and have seen more grammar mistakes and completely illogical/ obviously false posts here than ive seen on any forum ever. there was one post, of which i do not remember the author, but this is what it said. "This is God's Favorite Forum, so when we're here, we only speak God's Favorite Language (the one He wrote the Bible in): English."
1: God did not write the bible. Jesus didn't write the bible. His deciles did not write the bible. it wasn't until decades after Christ's death that the first copies of the bible were made. which brings me to my next point below.
2: in 90 AD, the Americas weren't even conceived of. nobody had any clue (except possibly the Phoenicians/ vikings) that there was this whole new world thousands of miles away, so there is no way that it was written in "American english". it wasnt even written in english. it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. needless to say, none of the information in that quote above is in any way, shape, or form true.
Next i would like to ask another question. I am a 16 year old boy who lives in michigan. every day, i go to school, follow the rules, and obey the law. ive never smoked, drank, or done anything substantially "unholy", but i also dont believe in god. (at this point, many of you may stop reading, but please, keep going. prove me wrong, in that i think you wont read the whole thing.) why, i ask, would god smite one of his own creations, if he has done nothing wrong? why send me to hell only because i don't believe in him? this may sound ludicrous to some of you, but think long and hard about this. any rational being (god, i think you would agree, must be rational) would look upon me as a simple ant walking around. not affecting anything, not harming others, just sitting there minding my own business. now, would god come up to me, see me carrying my little bit of food on my back, and step on me just because i don't believe he is real? is god really a mean kid with a magnifying glass burning harmless little ants? i dont go around spreading my ideas. (this post isn't intended to convert anybody, or to change anybody's beliefs in any way. i simply want to see other rational people's point of view on this.) i dont go around spreading satanic thinking, or worshiping of the devil, i am simply sitting on my computer hitting little keys, and sending little bits of information to your forum. why would god damn me to hell, if i am a good person who volunteers, helps people out, and has a job to help keep my family going? please, answer me this, without citing any bible versus. the bible was NOT written by God. it was NOT written by Jesus. it was NOT written by the disciples. the bible is, in fact, a compilation of ideas given to a large group of people by a massive number of people. hundreds came to the "authors" of the bible, and asked them to put their ideas into the bible. absolutely none of it came DIRECTLY from jesus. but, i digress. to prove that you have done what i asked of you, and read through the entire post, put the word "Watermelon" at the very end of your post.
