  • Hail God!

Praise God for leading to this forum! it is WONDERFUL to find fellow true believers in the Lord JESUS CHRIST!

A little bit about myself. I am a 40 year old women from Alaska. Living my days off the grid and away from society, loyally serving my loving husband of 27 years <33

I do not go to church but I do attend online services three times weekly I find that there are no churches closely accessible to me and my family that preach the proper word of god. Does your church hold online sermons? I'd love to know if it does so I can attend as well.

My favorite verse in the bible is Mark 10:9: “What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

I live by the bible, as does my family I have served the Lord and born 3 sons and 2 daughters.

    God Bless!

    Welcome!

Are you an Eskimo? Living so far from civilization, do you eat whale or seal blubber for subsistence? How do you power your computer from an igloo?

Landover does have broadcasts, but only for True Christians, and the tithing to get access is, I am afraid, prohibitively expensive. One of our Godly Pastors can possibly guide you to a payment arrangement.

I noticed that you are using the New American Standard (per)Version of the Bible.
      Here's the King James Version:
      Mark 10:9
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
      Matthew 9:12-13
      (12) But when Jesus heard [that], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
      (13) But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Well I wouldn't consider myself an Eskimo, as I don't eat whale blubber or seal to survive. We have supplied flown in from Fairbanks and rarely, from Fort Yukon. We don't live in an igloo either, we live in a small cabin. Only using what we need, as god commands, no extravagance.

As for power, for the most part, lighting and things like that. We stick to candles that are easy to get. We do use things like battery powered clocks and radios, though. As for my computer, we own a small generator that I use to power it, along with my husbands television.

I'm curious which "online services" you join in. Could you post links for us? I may know them.

I apologize for the version I quoted. I wasn't able to have a King James Bible flown in yet, as I would have preferred. The bible I use currently was here when me and my family moved in. Unfortunately, It seems old and not accurate I pray to God that we may have a proper one ordered soon.

The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independent Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year."

Well, until you get a proper KJV Bible, here are 2 online versions you can use:

I visit this site : http://www.spiritflow.net/ichurch/ most frequently. As I find there is more than often, something new for me to read and watch. It helps me keep my mind fresh with the wonderful word of the lord

Other times during the week, I simply look online for proper sermons on topics I have on my mind during the week.

My husband does know I am posting here, as I ask his permission before partaking in any activity online. He gave me the okay, after he read through some of the threads here.

I was and am still considered a Sister with the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota. Where I grew up. I lived there for 7 years of my life and served loyally. At the time, my future Husband was a Deacon with the First Lutheran Church.

I attended that church as I enjoyed, at the time, visiting different churches to try to find a proper one. We met and after the sermon, spent 2 hours talking. We had many more chats after that and soon decided, we would serve the Lord best to get married, and provide him with sons to serve in his name, as loyally as we serve. I was granted permission to leave my home and we moved to North Dakota where we had our first 2 sons and a daughter.

Deciding the atmosphere of city life was not how we wanted our children to be raised, we moved out here to Alaska. I hope that answers your questions

                      Re: Hail God!

Do not misunderstand me, Father. We no longer follow the old beliefs we once did. Yes, I was a Franciscan and my husband a Lutheran. But we converted to Babtist Christianity once we moved to South Dakota. A friend we made while living there, who worked alongside my Husband at the Old Deli, took us to his church, The Mountainview Babtist Church in Custer. It was quite a drive for us, and an around 70 minutes there and back. We fell in love with the belief and ethics.

We converted years ago. I apologize for not mentioning it, I thought it was implied We are devote Christians, loyal to Jesus and Gods word. Although, we do regret our beliefs before. It does not change our faith in God and our knowledge of his word and laws. We have repented as we must and know our Lord loves us and forgives us.

                        Father?!

I'm not your father! You truly are a papist! No Baptist would EVER call me "father."

Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Time to come clean, Mary worshiper. Who sent you here? The pope?

The Pope? I am no heathen, any longer. I am, however, not fully used to the way terms are used. At Mountainview, many of the parishioners referred to our pastor as "father" a tradition I assumed was common. Forgive my ignorance but that was the only church I attended since my Husband and I converted, I wasn't aware it wasn't proper practice. I know now, and I thank you and ask your forgiveness for my not knowing something as important as that.

I am forever studying Gods word and learning, as I have much more to learn in order to be worthy of his full grace and love, though I am trying. I hope you and your brothers and sisters here may help educate me.

I did once, worship mary. Years and years ago, A time I will forever repent for. However, I no longer, and never could, revert to that again. She is a lowly women, nothing compared to the Lord except a mother for Jesus Christ, who is our true savior.
