    interpretation

I believe that all good people should live by a religion, but it seems quite a few of you misinterpret the bible but in my personal opinion. I'm sure Jesus couldn't wanted husbands beating their wives. note example:

    Psalm 34:14
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

beating your wife doesn't seem peaceful or in the way of Jesus's love. Im not arguing with you, people have the right to believe what they want just my insight.

    Re: interpretation

The Bible tells us a wife is part of a man's property like an ox, a child or an ass. I personally haven't engaged in the discipline in years. If you set the tone early in the relationship, you'll rarely have to use it.

A woman is so vastly inferior to a man, that God compares the relationship between a man and a woman to that between a man and God. So God is to a man as a man is to a woman. A woman is easily as inferior to a man as an animal is.

Ephesians 5:22-24 (King James Version) 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

        1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

            Dear Godmocker;

If you wish to participate on God's favorite forum, you will at a minimum follow our rules. This is the introduction forum, not the "bad grammar and random question forum."

Please tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

well pastor Ezekiel i had assumed you would welcome god-seekers with open arms (metaphorically) and those who seeked enlightenment, it was a simple mistake, no need to blow out of proportion.

Then you have obviously never read THE BIBLE. It forbids us from keeping fellowship with non-Christians like you. You make assumptions like this out of complete ignorance of what is in the Bible.

2 John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

NO, people should live by THE religion, Christianity, as communicated in the King James 1611 Bible.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.
