    A formal Introduction

Sorry for not introducing myself before I posted two times, that was foolish.

Anyways, I am a soon to be senior in High School who has grown up in a household that isn't HUGE on God. We go every once in a while, but not every weekend or anything. Recently things in my life haven't been to awesome and I recently read the Bible and have invested hundreds of hours on everything that is God.

I admit that I have sinned, but I am here to repent my sins and become what you say is "True Christian".

I am also not a fan of many religions, they sicken me reading about some of the things they do and believe.

I don't have a huge church background or anything to tell, but the reason I am here is to LEARN from you guys who obviously know alot about God and his Greatness.

    Let me know your thoughts!
    John 3:18

    Re: A formal Introduction

My thoughts are that you're a godmocking troll here to spew hatred and persecute us. I hope I'm wrong.

If you'd like to find out more about Landover Baptist Church, please read THIS thread created especially for new posters.

If you have a question, use the "search" function before posting it. Most likely it is being discussed somewhere on this Godly forum. Please don't waste God's precious bandwidth.

You will keep a respectful tongue in your head whenever addressing your betters, which includes all True Christians™. Failure to do so, or any attempt at inciting debate or mockery of God's Divine Plan, can and will result in the suspension of your posting privileges.

Your rights on this forum are listed HERE. If you feel that any of these rights have been violated, please don't hesitate to contact a Pastor at once.

Young 'un, you've come to the right place and there may be hope for you.

A couple of thoughts: You sound as if going to church once a week is some kind of accomplishment. Being a Warrior for Christ is 24/7/365.

You say you're not a "fan" of many religions. The Church isn't a sports team that you root for, this is serious business.

If you aren't a "fan" of "many" religions that means you are a fan of more than one. Besides Christianity in a community of True Christians, what other religions are you a fan of? There should be only ONE. Discuss.

What things sicken you in the Bible? Are you saying God is in error for something He did, caused, or approved of?

Please share in detail what horrible sins have made things less than "awesome." Have you been experimenting with homosex or barnyard animals? Everything can be forgiven except disrespecting the Holy Spirit, so come clean.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

I suspect this kid smokes pot and does animal sacrifices to Satan like most teens these days. I see punks like this at the mall every night. When we nab one of them for shop lifting or skate boarding we take them to the security holding cell and I read them scripture until one of their unwed pot smoking parents or the local PD come to pick them up.

If this punk comes to my mall I'll have him answering questions.

No I was saying the going to church once a week as a BAD thing actually, I would expect I should go much more to be a True Christian!

And when I said a fan of many religions.. Well let me explain what I have always perceived. Inside of the Christian faith there are many different almost subdivisions. Such as the episcopalians, or others. Please, Correct me if Im wrong! I wasn't referring to anything like the Muslims or others. I meant any that truly follow the bibles word!

And when I say hard times I mean with money and jobs, it's a tough economy right now and it is bringing hardships. I also have been having hard times with faith in general, before I really read the bible and thought that it is something I need to invest the rest of my life in.

              Thanks for your thoughts

This guy sounds like a fishy troll to me too but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that his intentions here are pure.

I don't believe you've told us where you (sometimes) attend church. Is it a fundamentalist, baptist church or do they take liberties with God's holy word?

Sorry, I currently go to an Episcopalian Church. But honestly I don't go enough to even fully understand the differences between this and other churches that follow the Bible.. That is why I am here, I want to learn about this kind of thing!

As for the 'subdivisions' - English speakers call them 'denominations' - we have a word for the likes of Episcopalians, Lutherans and whatnot (at last count there are roughly 33,000 denominations), and that word is 'hellbound.'

In all seriousness, Im not remotely trying to mock this church, I have genuine respect for everyone of this site who is not mocking the church. Are you basically saying I have no hope and might as well not try because I previously attended an Episcopal church?

In all seriousness, Im not remotely trying to mock this church, I have genuine respect for everyone of this site who is not mocking the church. Are you basically saying I have no hope and might as well not try because I previously attended an Episcopal church?
Of course not! Anyone can be saved as long as they have not blasphemed the Holy Ghost. What leads you to believe that?

We are all about your Salvation here.
Praise and worship with Pastor Will. Services at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
