    Hello

Hello, I am currently looking to learn more about Christianity. I have spent some time on this site and seeing as many of the members have impressive knowledge of The Bible and Christianity in general, I think this would be a good place for me to learn more. I have been reading The Bible for a week now (KJV) but as a newcomer I feel it would be best if I were guided by experts such as yourself.

Also, please don't misunderstand, I am not a troll and I am not here to flame you. I am genuinely interested in Christianity and being saved, and I would appreciate keeping the name-calling and insults to a minimum.

Thank you in advance for your help.

How exactly am I paranoid? And how is any of what you said related to my original post?

I just started Deuteronomy. I'm enjoying reading it more than I thought I would.

Also, sorry about the separate responses. I'm still learning how to post and I don't know how to multi quote.

Did you enjoy Numbers as much as I did? I could just read that Book over and over and over...

I love Deuteronomy, my favourite part is 22 !

              Are you a married man?
              6
A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
"But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.

Welcome friend, God can always use another Soldier on the Battlefield for retaining the sanctity of Christianity.

How many sons have you set adrift upon the waters for Jesus?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                  Re: Hello

Welcome, anewperson! I'm a little concerned about your name choice. Are you not planning to stick around long enough to be anything other than a new person?

You're not a quitter or a slacker, are you? God does not slack in His efforts to bring you to Him:

                  2 Peter 3:9

9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Seems to me the least you could do in return is remain here long enough for God's love to find purchase within you.

I suppose you hold the belief that your name is going to "evolve" once you've been here a couple of weeks, am I right? I'm sorry to break it to you but that's simply not how things go around here.

Wow, you come to this forum, asking for help from these learned, God-fearing people, with a haughty attitude like that?
