    I'm an atheist, cursed to hellfire and damnation by the Lovingkindness(tm) of Almighty God (who, despite His omnipotence and omniscience, seems to always depend on frail, fearful little humans to do His dirty work).

    ...And honestly, I've given to the offering plate maybe once or twice, but if you looked at my employment history you may understand why. Money isn't what God wants from me specifically. I'm sure anyone would understand that if you have nothing of monetary value to give, then there are other ways you can live your life for God and other things you can give, such as time and energy...
    I guess you skipped the part of the Bible where Jesus tells the poor to give EVERYTHING, not just the 10% he wants from the rich.

    ...If Pastor Zeke is the real deal, I want him to please come into this topic and answer the legitimate questions I have posed. I want answers from a true believer, since apparently I am not. I am still baffled as to how someone can call themselves a true disciple of the Lord, yet reject spreading the Gospel to someone who is ASKING for it.
    He didn't reject spreading the Gospel. He told you to go read it.

      If you have a specific question I will be happy to answer it. But it must be a direct scriptural question, not 'how am I wrong' while referencing a 1,000 word post with 80 wrong things in it. Specifics, and I will be happy to answer you.

      Ball's in your court.
      I want to know where the Bible explicitly states that the Earth is not round, and that simple statement would mean that many experimentally proven laws of physics would somehow be wrong. I am being educated in the area of physics, and the area of astronomy also highly interests me. Unfortunately, these are sensitive areas around believers of God. I am a believer, and I believe God created everything to work how it is supposed to work. Science is just mankind's way of interpreting things that God has created. Some things we may never understand, some things may be simple enough for humans to comprehend. I am not saying humans could ever comprehend God, though.

        Of course the Earth is round. And flat. Imagine a dvd and you'll get the idea.

        Isaiah 40:22
        It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

          Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
          9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

          Jesus saw all of the kingdoms of the world, this wouldn't happen on a sphere. Are you calling Jesus a liar?

          I know God wouldn't let me believe in Him if He didn't exist.

            You could use the "search" function (as you've been told to, repeatedly) to find discussions on this subject, or you could just ball your little fists up in rage and keep demanding individual special attention. Imagine how well your professors would react to that attitude.

            So you're a believer? Really? Have you ever even read the Bible?

            Matthew 4:8 "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;"

            No matter how high the mountain, if the earth was spherical, the above would be impossible. So the Bible (the perfect and eternal Word of your God) says the Earth is flat. If you don't believe the Earth is flat, you're calling God a liar.

            That's in the FIRST book of the New Testament, the first Gospel, the very first thing all aspiring Christians (even the fluffy bunny "God loves everyone no matter what" types) read! How could you have missed that?
