Thoughts please?
before i begin let me tell you a little about myself and what i like to do.
Interests:music. i make music (mostly electronic stuff that has no lyrics and is jsut for easy listening or getting pumped before an important event etc.) i also enjoy doing things on my computer. things like: Security for websites (hacking their websites then telling them how i got in and how they can prevent it) Making Video games (fun non violent video games that are not all about how many people you can kill) and lastly programming (making simple programs that can do things like make music and so on and so forth)
Next i want to inform you of my lifestyle: im 16 and im a virgin. never drank a drop of alcohol in my life and i have never even touched a drug. i dont smoke and i dont hang out with people who do drugs or drink under the age of 21 (my states alcohol laws)
now i also dress emo (which is like goth with slight differences) now i wear dickies and sometimes skinny jeans (tiht fitting jeans) i do not "sag" my pants and i dont wear ripped clothes (except my dickies are ripped at the bottom) i wear converse and i wear a chain on my wallet. my ears are pierced (not to big. just like any other normal guy would have them)
now i believe in christ and i believe he has saved me and given me my musical talents and my computer talents to spread his word.
in fact i have reached manygoth children and have stopped them from things such as: self harm, drugs, and underage drinking. i have also saved many goth people. now these people and i team up to save more people but we do dress goth (And the women do NOT wear revealing tops although they do still look goth) now as i do this i feel good about myself and i feel good that im helping god. i am even helping a heavy metal band that is for jesus. they dont have all their members yet but they will soon and they are powered by the lord.
i want to get yourguys opinion. i have noticed alot of negative comments towards goth's. Me myself being a "punk" or an "emo" which is like goth was wondering hwo you felt about what i am doing? i am not looking to argue im jsut looking to see how you feel and if you have any questions. i might have osme questions too. like my cousin believes in christ and is gay. he does not practice homosexuality and says he knows its a sin. but he still knows that he likes men so he decides to stop seeing men and to just live life trying to ocnvert people to christianity.
how do you feel about that?
also, i believe that if christian people (such as yourselves and myself) ae NICE and respecting of people who are not saved (here is some scripture i feel supports this First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him. Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to know the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all ... (2 Timothy 2:24).
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2).
now i know i dont believe what they believe in and im sure you dont either. but do we have to bash their religion? cant we just be like john lennon and try and see what we have in common and see what everyone likes and dislikes then when we are friends we can debate religion? this is the tactic i use and i and my friends have saved many people. also i know i am young (16 is very young) but i feel like im doing the right thing
so as you reply can you ignore my age and not make that an issue?
