No one here is hateful. The most loving thing anyone can say is something that will keep another from hell.

    Or would you prefer comfort?

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Two paths, the easy one (wide) or the hard one (strait). You can't go in through both.

You don't have to choose now, but it seems you are on the wide path.

It is not enough to simply pay lip service to GOD
I never said it was... But when he asks me what I've done with my life this is what I will tell him.

Nevertheless, what do you think GOD has in store for those who want nothing to do with us?

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Who are we? We are the ones commanded to make corrections. We are the ones commanded to tell people they are wrong. We are them, aren't you?

Or will you just leave? Will you actually become a christian and do what christians do?

Did you mold God to fit you, or did you change your life to fit God?

It sounds like you did the first part.

    Good luck with that.

We are permitted to judge in righteousness:

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. - John 7:24

When my life ends and I am before God I will proudly tell him that I followed him my entire life, and that I lived a good life of helping and respecting all of his creations.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. - Matthew 7:21

It is not enough to simply pay lip service to GOD.

Also, when you are respectful to people about your beliefs it will get them interested. If you make them angry and tell them they are wrong then they will dislike you and want nothing to do with you or your beliefs.
It is unfortunate that secular government has given people the choice to have nothing to do with our beliefs, but we hope the Republican party will fix that in 2012.

Nevertheless, what do you think GOD has in store for those who want nothing to do with us?

I will give you a hint:

    Matthew 10:14-15

Why not just follow the whole Bible, like the Bible says?

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: - 2 Timothy 3:16

How do you determine which parts of the Bible to disregard?

I have had several people come to me and say "You are a nice guy. I want to learn to be like you." So I show them a Bible verse or two.

After showing them the Bible it lights a spark. That spark will either die, and they will continue being atheist, or the spark will ignite and their interest in God will grow.

Octavia - are you aware that quoting from anything other than the KJV1611 is a surefire way to eternal damnation? I hope you're not quoting from the NIV?

    Actually, it kind of does...

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

After baptism, there is neither Jew nor Greek...

And people complain that we take things out of context.

    Re: Hey There

    The key word is "brother."

The Bible calls us to be separate from the rest of the world:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. - Romans 12:2

Furthermore, there are instances when hatred is endorsed by GOD:

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. - Luke 14:26

Proverbs 6 also provides a convenient list of things GOD hates.

    Here is another one too:
1 John 4:20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Now, I see things are going in the opposite direction in which I intended. I only wanted to introduce myself and get to know a few of the people here. I don't want to discuss these issues right off the bat.
You have a really bad case of cherry picking the Bible via google.
    1 John 4

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Oh look. God isn't actually telling us to love everyone regardless but is in fact telling us how to discern people who are not of God so we love only those who are of God.

How odd what happens when you read instead of googling from wishy washy fluffy bunny Christian sites.

    Whoops!

Deuteronomy 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Yep, God definitely saying everyone is equal.
I think they have the Declaration of Independence, and the Bible (KJV1611) mixed up.
