The problem, beautiful lady, is that you have limited yourself to a single holy book. You are peeking at the spiritual world through a pinprick.

I have a whole library full of sacred scriptures. I have flung the curtains wide open.

What Moses, Solomon, and Iesus had to say was important, but we can't ignore what Pythagoras, Augustine of Hippo, François Rabelais, or Aleister Crowley had to say.

In the words of Margaret Atwood,

    Nolite les bastardes te carborundorum.

Aleister Crowley?! Why not Mickey Mouse? Or, more appropriately in Crowley's case perhaps, Goofy?

Come one. Get real. There are people who said or wrote wise things about the world (usually along with some foolish things), and then there are people who made up a bunch of horsesh*t in order to sell a few books. Crowley is in the second group.

      His body a bloody-ruby radiant
      With noble passion, sun-souled Lucifer
Swept through the dawn colossal, swift aslant
      On Eden's imbecile perimeter.
He blessed nonentity with every curse
And spiced with sorrow the dull soul of sense,
Breathed life into the sterile universe,
With Love and Knowledge drove out innocence
The Key of Joy is disobedience.
"The Key of Joy [foppish capitalization in original] is disobedience"? Messing his pants and putting beans in his ears just because he was been told not to must have been quite a joy to old Aleister, eh?

Sorry. As a statement of philosophy this ranks right up there with

"Hey! there, Hi! there, Ho! there
You're as welcome as can be
      M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E"

Sheesh. It one thing to honor an ancient and deep-running superstition like Buddhism (mind you, it's still just superstition) and another thing to put a pretentious fraud on the same shelf as Jesus.

        Case closed.

Crowley was much deeper than you seem to think. His use of absurdism was intentional. Also, his rituals and spells don't work as-is -- they all contain intentional errors to render them powerless. This is to prevent the adept from unleashing powers he or she is not ready to control. Once one understands the underlying concepts, the errors and the steps to correct them are obvious.
Ecc 9:5 For the liuing know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither haue they any more a reward, for the memorie of them is forgotten.

Reurend Goon-Moon (or whatever): "Also, [Crowley's] rituals and spells don't work as-is -- they all contain intentional errors to render them powerless."

Bullshit. They don't work at all.

          How do I know this?

No magickal spell -- no verifiable, repeatable demonstration of the supernatural -- has ever stood up to scientific test. Not one. Instead, like every credulous spiritualist you've got one hand in your pants and oatmeal between you ears, and you think that makes you special.

          You're not. You're just masturbating.

*shrugs* I could be wrong. Turn my feet green, idiot, or be revealed as a powerless loser whose "magic" is a farce.

Sheesh. These new-age nancy-boys, I swan to goodness...they really need to grow up.

            Thanks, but I didn't sneeze.

Where exactly is it permissible to worship Mary, the Dead Vessel who bore Jesus for God? Please show us where the Bible says this, you Catholic Pagan Witch!

In fact, it clearly says otherwise. No matter how much you might like to pray to Mary, she's not your mediatrix!

            1 Timothy 2:5
            For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

            Hebrews 9:15
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

            Hebrews 12:24
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

            Um, no. The Bible says:

            Isaiah 3:1-3
1For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.

2The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, 3The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

Joshua 1:8 This booke of the Law shal not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest obserue to doe according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt haue good successe.
            Joshua 1:8
8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Joshua is being instructed to focus his attention on and ponder the book of the law God is giving to him, Dolt.

Need I continue? I fail to see the point.
