Hey, there. I realize there's alot going on with the topic of registering atheists,and that is what brought me to this page. I don't mean to flame or be rude, but as of right now I am an atheist. Not because I don't want to believe in God, but because I suppose I haven't been educated enough. And thats another reason im here.

I understand I am named after Matthew, the person from the Bible(like I said, I know little of it) and am intrigued by it.

I was hoping to be shown reasons to be religious, due to my lack of knowledge, and I suppose give this community a chance to 'save' me.
In addition, i suppose I could answer any questions about the atheist lifestyle.

And no,.I do not worship Satan or anything like that. Pardon any misspellings, I am on my phone.

I do admit I'm curious about the Atheist lifestyle, mainly: why do you like to sodomize each other so much? Most of the links Atheists post that I've seen on the internet are a man tearing at his own anus.

I'm forced to conclude that Atheists only think about their own butthole, and what kind of atrocities they can do with it.

Is it the lack of moral compass, or something more sinister?

Welcome friend. You seem to know that the Bible (KJV) has all the answers yet you do not read it. I suggest you do so and then feel free to ask questions. It pays to be well read. Keep in mind, God wants you to follow every word as written, so no 'winging it' like you krazy kidz say.

Thomas, I cannot speak for everyone, but I for one do not take part in any activities even remotely similar to that.

I would like to read the Bible, actually. I plan to make the purchase quite soon.

I'm not ignorant or stupid, sir. The house I grew up in was not religious whatsoever, my mother, who had named me,worked quite often and so I wasn't influenced much by her,and so was raised without religion. If I was ignorant, I would be trying to offend you, or not be curious at all. I'm just trying to educate myself on a subject that I know little about, again, I'm sorry I wasn't raised correctly.

If I may interject, brother, it is my belief that willful ignorance (as displayed by atheists) is stupidity. It is my hope that Matthew is as open to new knowledge as we True Christians(tm) are. That will determine if he is simply ignorant or ignorant and stupid.

If you need more sources, let me know. As many people that exist on the planet, there are copies of the Bible. God makes sure of that. All you need do is look. Do not expect life to be spoon-fed to you. You have to put a modicum of effort out. You cannot get clean unless you grab the bar of soap.

Now, now, young man. You have to be one or the other as you said you don't know what is contained in the Bible. If your lack of knowledge is because you haven't been exposed to it, well that's ignorance. Ignorance isn't a bad word, it simply means 'lacking knowledge' in a particular area. Not necessarily a bad thing (for example, I am ignorant of the rules of gay sports like cricket and soccer). But it isn't good to be ignorant of the Bible since that will lead to an eternity of suffering in Hell.

It is heartening to see you are seeking to do away with you ignorance in this, the single most important area of knowledge for any human being.

Pastor Ezekiel - I didn't mean that I wouldn't, I meant that I couldn't. Because I have yet to do any of those things,which doesn't mean that I won't do them...

Brother Enoch - I suppose in that sense, I am ignorant. And as I've said, I'm trying to fix that by learning.

James - I'll check out those links, thank you very much! However, I will wait until I can obtain one from a local Pastor, as I much prefer a physical copy of a book, especially one so important.

I absolutely don't want to offend anyone or make them think I'm against them, but so far many of the replies have seemed angry or spiteful...that's what I was trying to avoid. I wanted to be as civil and open minded as possible, so again, I'd like to apologize if my presence bothered anyone or has upset or offended them.

Would I be wrong in saying that if I did truly change my ways, and honestly accept God into my life that I still would not be accepted among the True Christians? I feel as though the existing animosity towards me for having been an Atheist would be upon me forever...Sorry if it comes off as rude, but its just the impression I've gotten from the replies.
