It is from Star Wars. Sometimes it helps to learn about what are you rebutting against. Like I said before George Lucas based the Empire off of the Nazis. Absolutism, is pretty much what the Nazis did. Nazis were Christian. Judaism and Christianity pray to the same God, yet it seemed okay to kill 6 million of them.

I like the hypocrisy of "only the Sith deal in absolutes". Did George base the Jedis off the atheists?

And even thought the Joos "pray to the same God", they thought it was okay to nail Him to a cross and kill Him (for a moment). I would say that killing God is a lot worse than killing 6 million Joos, since those 6 million would have died by now anyway, and God is immortal.

Lastly, Joos weren't killed for their religion, but for their race. Try to get your facts straight. If they had converted, it wouldn't have mattered for Hitler.

Star Wars seems more realistic than some "higher power" crafting the Earth exactly how it is today. Place people on it and then wanting them to worship him. It seems as though God suffers from one of the seven deadly sins. Pride.

You proved yourself wrong "Joo" isn't a word. Yet I see where I am wrong, and I accept that. However if by saying that the Jedi are based off of Atheism, then you are saying that living under Atheism is a happier place.

Maybe you should expand your vocabulary a bit. Joo is the name that followers of one of the biggest religions in the world go by. How do you know Judaism and not the word Joo?

I am an atheist, with no intent of following a religion. I am merely here to discuss topics where religion has been brought in, mainly media. I am not here for heated arguments, nor am I here to be converted or to convert people. I just want to share my opinion in a civil manner, and hope for a reply in a like manner where my words have not been twisted to suit their counter argument, but to have an argument where both sides do not conduct in such a manner where one side has had their words twisted. Clean arguments are what I am here for, to share my views and read yours.
