I am an atheist, with no intent of following a religion. I am merely here to discuss topics where religion has been brought in, mainly media. I am not here for heated arguments, nor am I here to be converted or to convert people. I just want to share my opinion in a civil manner, and hope for a reply in a like manner where my words have not been twisted to suit their counter argument, but to have an argument where both sides do not conduct in such a manner where one side has had their words twisted. Clean arguments are what I am here for, to share my views and read yours.

There is no argument here, friend. You have decided to spit directly into the face of Jesus who only died (briefly) on the cross so that maggots like you can go to Heaven.

Well after going through some threads, all I see is arguments. I have not spat in anybody's face. Also, what gives you the right to call me a maggot? Yes I listen to Heavy Metal, but just because of my musical taste, does not give you any reason to instantly label me. Also I do not believe in heaven, so really it doesn't bother me, if somebody wants to die for a "cause" then go right ahead, it isn't going to change me.

What you want is irrelevant. This is a forum for people who seek to do the will of God. Opinions are worth nothing unless they can be backed up by scripture.

If you don't believe in Jesus, if you don't read the Bible, then what are your motives for posting here?

This forum is one of few havens from atheist filth in media. Why do you need to defile it? Surely you are a son of Satan.

I never said I hated Jesus, in fact I never used those words. I believe there was a Jesus who tried to make the world a better place, however I do not believe he was the Son of God.

Maggot is a termed used for dedicated Slipknot fans. I listen to Slipknot, yet I am not a dedicated fan. I chose the name Sepultura, purely for the song Roots, Bloody Roots, which is all about freedom. Also how bands in Brazil (including Sepultura), helped strengthen the nation after they broke free from dictatorship. While I am not Brazilian, I highly believe that we need to break free from all the lies we are being fed.

The Empire was based of the Nazi regime. Why must people deal only with absolutism? For example like I said earlier, I enjoy listening to Slipknot, however I am not a dedicated fan. So I am somewhere in the middle.

I am not here to spread my ideology. I am here to educate myself in other peoples beliefs. I want to understand. Not just the "Because of God", but a more in depth understanding. In fact I have read Genesis, which is something coming from an Atheist background. I do believe there was a Jesus similar to that described in the bible. And how can the Scripture be a viable source of evidence? As far as I am concerned it is a book, just like the millions others that are out there. It was written by people. While I feel the underlying morals that the bible promotes to be a good thing. Some aspects of it I have to disagree with, like selling your children, and giving women next to nothing in terms of rights.

Absolutism, is pretty much what the Nazis did. Nazis were Christian. Judaism and Christianity pray to the same God, yet it seemed okay to kill 6 million of them.
