Hi everyone, my name is Jake and I'm from Canada. I'm doing a term paper on religions across North America. I came across this website and noticed my views differ greatly from yours, and while I really, really do not wish to start an argument or offend anyone, I will hope that these questions can be answered with honesty and openness.
01) I have read on the message board, some writers claiming that God "hates" (insert term here). Do you, or anyone you know, believe that God actually "hates"? If so, why, and do you not believe God is ever forgiving of things that feel out of our control?
02) What are your views on homosexuality and homosexual marriage. Other than Biblical influence and impressions, do you think these people, religious or not, good willing or not, are really "bad"?
03) Do you believe in a sympathetic God or a vengeful God? What is your view of God and his attitude towards us?
04) Every religion believes theirs is, or could be, the right one. If you could defend your religion and beliefs in one, well constructed sentence, please do.
05) Optional question and scenario: A woman in Ethiopia grows up with no possibility of religious influence or education. She just happens to be a lesbian but has the best intentions of people around her. She lives her life, having done good things for her community. She dies without ever knowing about The Bible. What do you believe happens to her?
Again, I thank you for your participation. Hope you all have a great week.
