  • Forgive my tresspasses

Hello, I just wanted to follow the proper etiquette of the forum by introducing myself. I'm James, and the primary reason that I've signed up for the forum was to learn and ask questions about order. So please forgive me if I'm ignorant of some of the details when addressing others in the forums. Thank you.

That wasn't much of an introduction, son. What church do you attend? How many sons has your wife given you? Tell us about your walk with Jesus. Don't be shy.

The Holy Spirit is telling me to exercise caution with you. What do you want? Why are you here? Have you come to persecute us?
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. I'm a bit nervous to post by religious background, in fear of being stoned. My grandparents were Catholic which in turn led my parents to be protestant which in turn led me to apostatize myself. Every time I take a few steps back toward Jesus, some zany people scare me right back away. But I have since found peace. I was just curious as to the content of these boards.

So then you're an atheistic satan worshiper. Great. You got here just in time! Jesus clearly has called you here to His favorite forum for a reason.

He wants you to avoid hell, is my guess.

From reading this, it is clear that God has preordained you to eternal torments in His lake of fire. If the fruits of the Spirit and the Word of God "scare you right back away", then it is because God has sent you strong delusion.

              II Thessalonians 2:11-12
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The LORD doesn't want your type joining us in Heaven. You'd probably just queer the place up.

              John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Take it easy and relax, but just a little. You don't know peace until you know the Prince of Peace (Philippians 4:7).

You are here now and God can tend to your broken soul. But understand that with a username like yours, we pastors are still wondering whether or not you are truly done self-fornicating in your feces under the influence of cannabis and ready to actually learn something about Jesus.

                A very concerned,

                Pastor Ed

                  Re: Forgive my tresspasses

I believe I am a little timid here because in the past when I've expressed curiosity or confusion over Christianity, it has usually resulted in verbal abuse or a beating. As to the pastor's question about my username, it is a subtle reminder that I most likely will not be converting back. However, I owe it to you and myself to listen to what you have to say. It is always good to re-examine your morals. I mean no disrespect and have no intention of causing trouble or being a rabble rows er. Its just as I've said before I have so many questions, such as...

Whats your take on the Amish way of life and view of Christianity?
Do you believe that the Renaissance artwork to the glory of God is pornographic?
I've found some ambiguity in the 'honor thy mother and father' passage, could we discuss it?

                  Thanks again for your time.

                    Re: Forgive my tresspasses

Why don't you tell us a bit more about yourself first?

What is your favourite Bible verse (you have read the Bible haven't you?).

What inspires you? The verse inspiring me today is:

                    2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

                    Yours in Christ
                    Genesis 7:5
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

                    John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

                      NO.

It is NOT good to "re-examine" your morals.

Why? YOU DO NOT HAVE MORALS. The concept of "morals" is a man-made construct for losers who hate Jesus.

Your so-called "morals" are simple instructions made manifest to you in the 600+ Commandments given to you (error-free!) via the 1611 KJV Bible.

In other words: if you want to "re-examine your morals" RE-READ THE BIBLE!

(Colossians 3:17) "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

                      Yours in Christ,

                      Z. Smyth

P.S. Just in case you are curious, the following words are NOT in the Bible: moral, morals, morality, and morel.

(Wow, first I have to comment on how impressed I am with how promptly you reply to posts. Kudos Landover Baptist Team.)

As for wanting to know about me, I try to lead a simple life. I'm an Ohio farm boy. I love reading adventure stories and comics, as well and playing video games. I'm also an animation aficionado. I graduated from the Ohio State University with my Masters Degree in 2006.

As for my favorite bible verses:
                        Isaiah 11:6
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
                        and
                        Isaiah 11:7
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

I find it offensive that you capitalize "I" but leave "God" lower-case. Do you feel you are more important and deserving of respect than the Creator of the universe?
