Also how stupid do you think God is if He lets a book survive which is full of bits that can be interpreted wrongly? I can only assume the god you have made up in your head is some kind of stupid, powerless drooling retard. Is your god worth worshiping?

No, YOU are calling GOD a retard by saying that you know better than Him what parts of the Bible apply and what parts don't.

If you'd get off your cherry-picking ass you might find little gems like this:

(Revelation 22:18-19) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Bret, I do not understand at all what you mean. All we do is follow the Bible as God had written. What is wrong with that? You think following the Bible is an "easy path"? Bret, a lot of what God commands us to do and the rules He demands that we follow ae often unpleasant. Are you trying to tell us it is even worse and harder if we followed your path?

It is not too late. leave it all behind and discover the true love of Christ.

It is easy to take every word in bible literally. It is easy to be intolerant, unforgiving and racist.

It is difficult to decipher the word of God because it was written by man, and all men are sinners. It is difficult to be tolerant, forgiving and merciful.
Bret, do you mean to tell us that God approved the Bible and it is all wrong? God made a mistake? Perhaps you can point me to the passage in the Bible where it tells us that we can interpret it and make things up as we go. The Verse that states if we find any parts we find unpleasant, we can just skip them.
Bret, I do not know if you ever made a model in your life or put together a piece of furniture but they come with instructions. If you want the item to turn out right, you follow the instructions carefully, you do not waver or second guess them. What makes you think you know better than God?

God did not write the King James Bible. It was written by scribes under the order of King James The Head of the Church of England.

Imagine it like this for a minute. Imagine the love of God is water flowing from a spring at the top of a mountain. As it flows down the mountain it strengthens and replenishes everything it touches. Religion is the pluming that collects and distributes it, even to places it should not go, and because this plumbing is man made it pollutes and taints.

So you see we have to filter out the pollution man has placed through sin to get at the pure clean love of God.

Yes I am saying it is harder.

"follow the Bible as God had written. " That mean we follow the words of God as He had written for Him. No one is insane enough to think for one minute that God sat down and wrote the Bible. He had it written for him. This issue you are having is the crux of your problem. You do not read very well. You change the meaning of what was written. God had (By other people, do not forget that) written passages using specific words. He expected those words to be followed.

Well Bret, that is all fine and dandy but it still misses the mark. I am pretty good with the Bible and no where are those words in it. Do you really think you know what is in Gods mind better than Him?

Since you refuse to tell us where God stated we can skip the parts of the Bible we do not like and change the meaning of the rest of it, tell me home come you think you know better than Him? Thats right the bible was written by men, it may be the word of God but it was written by men. Because men are not perfect and are full of sin, especially any scribes who would have been working for King James The word of God was tainted by their sin. Its not about skipping bits. Oh no this would not be acceptable. It is about identifying which parts have been tainted by the sins of the men that wrote it down, and deciphering what it really means.

No God does not tell us which parts have been tainted, and it is difficult to identify and decipher, much more difficult than taking every word litterally. And this is the way God meant for it to be. If he didnt want it this way he would have had it written in heaven and handed to man.

How can the difficult path be the one that you just make up as you go along and just do the bits that are convenient to you?

The only difficult bit is trying to explain your thought process because you haven't got one. You still haven't even attempted to explain how you know what is literal and what isn't.

Bret, that might of been true when the Bible was first written but don't you think that since teh KJV was written, in 200+ years, if there were any parts that were not exactly what God had wanted, He would of had them corrected?

Bret, thinking you are God like you do must be extremely difficult. Don't you see your folly? Do you walk up to a professional fighter and tell them you can beat them up, only because you know it is difficult? Making things up as you go (as you are doing) is the easy way out. Things you do not want to do, you skip. I am really worried about your soul, Bret.

The only difficult bit is trying to explain your thought process because you haven't got one. You still haven't even attempted to explain how you know what is literal and what isn't.

I already explained I am not going to bother trying to explain it to you.

I was misled into believing this was a true Christian website, I came here looking for help, but i realize i will not find it here. However i think the Lord intended me to find it. So there must be some other reason why i feel compelled to keep visiting.

                              Because you can't.

Maybe He is hoping that you might take your head out of your arse and be guided by True Christians rather than just making it up as you go along,

I know God wouldn't let me believe in Him if He didn't exist.

you miss the point god wants it this way. If he did not want it this way he would not have had man write the Bible. he would have had it written by angels and handed to man.

I do not claim to know more than the rest of man kind. I do think i know more than most members here though, and to think I came here for guidance lol.

Things you do not want to do, you skip. I am really worried about your soul, Bret.
I do not think I am God like, your just making up rubbish now.
Yes i do a lot of things because it is difficult. And i do not skip anything. I am smart enough to know the Bible was written by sinful imperfect men. because of this the writings are imperfect but the word of god is still there, its just in many cases it is disguised. If you cant see this maybe it is because God does not want you to?
