No, but I personally believe that Jesus should be a man's best friend, not dogs. Looks like you haven't seen the light yet, I'll pray for you.

Re: Hello, I am new here.
So what was it about the Bible that made it more plausible and reliable than Catholic dogma? Why do you choose that but reject the traditions you were brainwashed into?Originally posted by AnnaLena View PostI never really thought the the saint-worship was right in my heart, even at a young age. I realise this is a very basic question but there will be others reading this who are looking in silently and it's instructive for them to know why the Bible is so self-evidently perfect, flawless, unambiguous and non-contradictory evidence for God's actual nature more so than any other faith.

Once again I am a Christian. I do not worship Mary, I do not say Hail Marys. I do not worship saints, or even acknowledge them on their feast day. I even stated in an above post that I'm currently attending a Baptist church.
You're either with Jesus or not.We say Hail Marys to praise Mary for bringing Jesus into the world, and to ask her to pray for us that we seek Jesus in everything we do. It's not to worship her.

Re: Hello, I am new here.
Really?Originally posted by AnnaLena View PostI don't worship my ancestors or pray to saints.
So all we have to do now is convince you that praying to Mary is pointless nonsense based on human tradition and having nothing to do with the bible and we're one step closer to realising that Catholics are not Christians. You must have decided not to pray to saints even though your church says you ought to for a reason.
Think about that reason. Did it seem silly, contrived, ridiculous? In the same way that Limbo and Purgatory are now considered daft beliefs dreamed up by deluded, supposedly infallible Popes from ages past, Mary worship and praying to statues will go the same way if you focus on thinking about it and looking at the evidence.
Consider why people actually decided that such beliefs (fiercely defended for centuries) are actually indefensible blasphemies with not a shred of merit. Is there anything else you believe in that's on shaky foundations?

She only did one thing, that will forever be a blessing to us, that was giving birth to Jesus.
Not as rampant as it seems? SERIOUSLY??? Good grief, do you know how much money the bead counters have paid out over the years to buy the silence of poor abused children?

Your tacit approval of this ongoing horror repulses me.
