  • Hello!

Hi there. I am just a younger person trying to further my knowledge on our Lord and Savior. I have recently gotten into heated debates with atheists, and I think a friendly forum where I get to discuss an amazing topic is needed. Thank you and God bless

Hi there, I hope we can be friends.

I hope you are a decent Christian and not one who who is a literalist like most people here. They don't seem to understand that it is the science of Intelligent Design not be bible that shows us God is real.

You've come to the right place if you want to further your knowledge of God. But first let us know more about you. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

        Re: Hello!

Well I go to this humble little church in West Columbia, Texas; The Gulf Coast Christian Center. I do attend youth at a different location, however. My favorite verse is James 4:7," Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he shall flee from you." This verse really does stand out to me because, being a teenager in today's world, really can take a toll on someones faith. The temptations are around me all the time, but this verse keeps me at peace. I found Jesus thanks to my grandmother. She introduced me to him and I loved the feeling Jesus instilled in my heart. My faith has been tested but I hope I can find some good christian people who can help me insure my ticket into the Book of Life.

Welcome to the forum, Proud Christian. You say you're a teenager. Are you a boy or a girl?

            Re: Hello!

Welcome, Proud! If you're going to get into debates with atheists (or this ThinksDesign bimbo), the best advice I can give you is do not allow them to frame the terms of the debate!

When they try to gallop all over the place talking to you about obscure scientific and philosophical ideas, you need to just keep bringing the conversation back around to certain fundamental questions.

Keep asking them, again and again:

            1) Are you happy with your life the way it is right now?

            2) Do you think God is happy with the way you're living?

            3) What do you think it going to happen to you after you die if God is not pleased with you?

Just keep bringing them back to these questions, especially number three. If they answer number three with any degree of honesty at all, GOD WINS AGAIN!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Atheists are hate-filled because they don't have enough Jesus in their lives. Jesus focuses us Christians and lets us know who we should hate rather than just hating everyone willy-nilly like atheists do. Athiests are pathetic little hate-machines, while Christians are full of love for those few who deserve it.

Try this argument with atheists next time. Romans 1 tells us that knowledge of the LORD is imprinted on everyone's hearts. Atheists try to put off their inevitable acknowledgment of Christ JESUS as LORD (Romans 14:11).

Jesus died for the sins of the world, and they can't even be bothered to put down the bong, put on their Sunday best, and drive down to their local independent Baptist Church on Sunday mornings to praise Him and worship Him and put a little money in the offering plate. That's about as hateful as it gets. It's pathetic, and the LORD is just in sending them all to the fiery pits of hell. I can't wait to sit at Jesus' side and watch them scream in agony as satan's barbed tallywhacker pulls out entrails with each out-thrust of his barbed tallywhacker.

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Thank you guys. I will try that argument the next time the occasion arises. I don't know why I let it get to me. I have been raised in the loving ways of Jesus and a few idiots on the internet get me shaken up.

Just think about how happy you'll be when you're with us in Heaven, singing praise songs, while those who refuse Christ's temporary sacrifice are tortured for all eternity.
