It would seem I've made a grave error of not introducing myself. Many sites don't see this as an infraction, but these are your rules and I have no problem abiding by them.

My story is simple, I was raised in the Baptist church. The older I got the more I started to use reason,and forming questions about certain thing that didn't make sense to me. At some point I got tired of hearing the most absurd, vague, and ill-thought out explanations to my questions.

So I decided to use reason, and I left the church. Also what I didn't like is the obvious picking and choosing when to follow the literal reading of the Bible when it was in the favor of the church. Now in some cases,(one in particular) I can see a person using the contextual meaning.

So that is my story,and I hope we can communicate respectfully with each other even though we have different ideologies. I believe all beliefs should be respected,and the debasement,name calling, and dismissive natures should be avoided just because someone don't agree with your view.

Too smart for God, are you? Well, that's okay. Once you realize how little you know and how your sad, sorry life has no purpose without Him, you'll come crawling back.

If He doesn't kill you first, He'll except you back with open arms. (See Matthew 11:28)

Ah, so you respect the belief that advocates throwing acid in a woman's face because she brings dishonor to her mooslim husband? You respect the belief that supports so-called "honor killings" of a mooslim daughter who is legitimately rape? How very tolerant of you.

How old are you Stevey? What made you want to reject Christ's gift of everlasting life in Heaven? How often did your father lay good Christian beatings on you? Not often enough I'd guess.

Welcome to Landover. We don't believe in debasement and name calling either.

So tell us, if you're not on a Christian forum to praise Jesus, then what are you hoping to achieve? Not to convert us, I assume. That would not be very tolerant of you.

I didn't say I was too smart for God. Let say for the sake of argument that a God does exist. Didn't he give me as, well as all of you, the ability to reason? Well, I'm just using an ability he gave me. It is no different that me using my sight or any of my other senses.

God also gave you the ability of FAITH, which transcends reason and the senses.

Must you stick your fingers in Christ's wounds before you believe, like doubting Thomas?

Shall I run down the atrocities that was done in the name of Christianity? Like the Salem witch hunts. Women,put to death in some of the most horrific ways at the hands of men. or are you saying that non-Muslim men get a pass on the treatment of women.

My name is Seventy, not my age. You have to understand metaphysics to grasp it's concept. I am curious and would like and explanation of what you mean by "betters"? Is it based on morality,judgement, or wealth?

Like most sites,you have a few bad apples that make it bad for the rest. I see a lot of comments that are not in lockstep with Christianity.

No,I wouldn't waste my time or yours trying to convert you. I have yet to see an Atheist go door to door trying to convince Christians to "see the light". Yet,I get them all the time knocking on my door after being told my views.

Tell me,which should I believe: The Jews who don't believe in hell, or Christian that say there is one? This is why I said I'll go the way that makes sense.

Thank you. I'll add it to my list of others. But I really didn't come here to debate, in a way,I was challenged by one of your pastors. I didn't agree with a conclusion that was derived from a flawed scripture, and I just took this pastor's advice.

Actually,I asked a question,which is not the same and saying it. And yes,I do believe this. Do you think you belief should be respected, and all others disrespected? You have a very myopic view of religion. A person can easily condemn you the same way for numerous accounts of murder in the Bible.

For example, Joshua and how he killed men,women,children, and the animals that belonged to the people that occupied the lands that was promised to them. This is just one of many Bible atrocities that people can you to say that you don't deserve respect.
