I get this and understand it. I have no problem with you believing what you believe. As I said, I responded to a challenge that a member made concerning the board's content.

Perhaps it will help to note that Mr. Much is a hell-bound atheist on this site. He gets no more special privilege than you. I expect the pastor will take care of him personally later.

With that being said,I still think civility should be the high ground that is taken in this type of discourse. I don't say I don't cuss, I just don't cuss on any board,it's a standard I have set for myself.

The most creative excuse I've seen for misspelling atheism and atheist is that it's supposed to be a sign of "respect." I've been assured that the person really did understand that atheism is merely an absence of belief in gods, but was convinced that atheism deserved to be treated with the same respect as Christianity and thus should be capitalized just as Christianity is capitalized.


This excuse is so weak that I hardly know where to begin with it. Perhaps it's sufficient to point out that capitalization in English has nothing whatsoever to do with "respect" and everything to do with separating out proper nouns. If a person really does believe that capitalization is done out of "respect," then they don't even comprehend basic English grammar and you should beware of them even more than if they merely didn’t understand atheism.

The LORD has never inflicted me with a staph infection, either during any of my many pregnancies or any other time. Illness is a means of communication, a loving correction, as a father lovingly corrects a son (Proverbs 3:11-12).

So are you saying that you have never gotten sick or went to the doctor? Also,why are you using scripture to speak for you? This implies that you would also let your children suffer.

Your infractions are not for "shaking" anyone up, dear. They are for your rude behavior on a polite Christian forum. We have members and followers all around the world and we expect a certain amount of decency from those who participate.

Have you ever went to the doctor when you were sick? or did you just stay at home and pray that you would get better. You do know that staph infections have to be treated, especially when a woman is pregnant.

So what is your responsibility as a mother that is carrying a child? Having concern for that child when you have a infection that can harm that child. That's not weakness, that's being responsible. This way of thinking is why religions have such a hard time getting their message across.

Such an infection could be a way to catch your friend's wife's attention. Perhaps the LORD knows this child will grow up to be bad, maybe a homosexual or even an atheist, and rather than unleash that evil fury into the world, would spare the couple. We cannot know the ways of God. That's why we walk in faith, For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12)

I personally support this practice and can testify of its value and effectiveness when done correctly, with respect and a desire to honor the LORD.

Yes, and not just for the tardy dinner, but also for not planning ahead in case of such an incident. Women are poor managers of nearly every task assigned them, and most irresponsible and egregious when it comes to managing their time. I don't know that I would used my belt, but a backhand would be entirely in order and fair.

She should have always maintained a fresh, healthy meal in the refrigerator that he could have heated, and had his dinner at the expected time.

and seem to not put up with being beat on. Do you agree that a wife should be beat on a whim by the husband? For example, you didn't follow a rule or an order. Or I'll use an actual situation where the husband beat his wife based on the Bible.

On a whim? Certainly not. However, a True Christian™ husband would never beat his wife "on a whim." If, on the other hand, you are asking if I would shirk my husband's Godly correction, the answer is no. I would never disrespect the LORD by disrespecting His perfectly organized plan for the home.

A co-worker of mine beat his wife because she didn't have dinner ready on time. Where we worked at was 5miles from their home. She had to dive herself to the doctor in her sick state (because he didn't feel like taking off) to their doctor's office that was about 40 miles away. On the way back there was a accident on the express way that took hours to clear up.

She made it home at 6:pm, which was dinner time,so since it wasn't fixed,so he beat her. This is what he told several of us when we had a talk about things in the Bible and some of it's rules and this is what his defense was.

So,do you think he was justified?
