      Re: Hello All

      Hello once again all,

Unfortunately my problem with my friend Matthew has only gotten worse. When I got home today I received a phone call from him. I asked what was wrong and he said with a bitter voice that he has renounced his faith in God Almighty.

Horrified, I asked him why he had made such a drastic change. He said that the words of that man from a few days ago had "burned into him" and filled him with "shame" that he could not prove that God exists. He went on to say that he spent several hours in prayer afterwards but could not "find an answer to fill the void in me." I asked him if he would like to come over to my house and pray with my sister and I and he became filled with rage, saying "You can't fix this, Daniel. I'm broken."

Honestly, I haven't seen him this angry since I told him I would be voting for Obama in November. Is there any way I can repair my friend's good faith in Our Lord and rekindle out friendship? He is my closest friend and I want to help him through this.

If you're voting for Obama, then you are voting in favor of the murder of babies, and sodomarriage. Christians do not vote for the murder of babies and sodomarriage.

Your friend, for rejecting Jesus, will spend eternity being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire.

I expect you will be joining him, unless you decide to follow God's Laws.
        Bible boring? Nonsense!

          Nope.

          Move on.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Well fear not, brother, you are among caring, non-judgmental people, and you are free to unburden yourself and confess every indecent thing you've done to defile yourself and others!

If you're planning on voting for the muslim candidate, then you can't possibly be a Christian.

Sigh...I was hoping that I wouldn't have to run into this again. I got similar reactions from my parish and I was hoping that the intelligent and open-minded people on this sight would be able to leave church and state apart

                As Faith_Machine said,

and I really don't want my political opinion to detract from my love of God.

It's true that Obama is a pro-choice candidate; why, then, you might ask, am I voting for him, when being a good Christian I am of course pro-life? In my opinion at least, even though I am against abortion, I also believe strongly in God's greatest gift to us, and what sets us apart from the animals: free will (Philemon 1:14). Even though I think abortion is wrong, I respect that a woman has the free will to choose this. Granted, she would of course suffer the consequences of such a heinous sin, but I don't think that it's the government's job to interfere in out God-given freedom. Similarly, even though I think homosexuality is a sin according to the Good Book (Lev 18:22), I think that the government can't infringe upon man's right to choose - even if that choice is sin!

Also, Obama (despite these views) is also a big proponent of a clean environment. Like I said earlier, nature is where I feel closest to God, and I want to put my trust into a candidate who will protect God's Green Earth (Matthew 6:26) instead of building another big oil pipe to support the rich, like Romney would. After all, God loves the poor and vulnerable (Psalms 140:12, Luke 6:20-21, James 2:5) and I think Obama does a better job of helping the vulnerable.

Oh, and he's not a Muslim by the way, nor has he ever been.

And either way, it saddens me at least a little when stuff like this:

Is said about one of my closest friends. I truly appreciate your advice but I still think that Matthew can be saved. After all, God can truly forgive anyone if they are faithful enough (Ephesians 1:7).

I won't lie; before receiving the Good Word of God I was a dabbler in sin. I listened to devil's music like Nirvana and Alice In Chains; I wore all black (the color of the Great Enemy) and clothing with demonic imagery, and (this sickens me the most) I once even tried the Devil's Herb, Marijuana (I shudder just to type the word). Luckily, my faith and my parish helped me through my hard time and the Mighty Lord, My God and Yours, has helped me through this hard time.

I'm not saying that I think abortion is OK; in fact I feel quite the opposite. The thought of a human life being ended before birth saddens and angers me just as much as it would you

All I'm saying is that God's gift of free will is something that should be respected, even if it means allowing the misguided to sin.

As for the whole "elk blood" thing, what I was saying before was that it made me feel guilty for ending the life of one of God's beautiful creatures. By voting for Obama or another pro-choice candidate, it's not like I personally am killing a beautiful human soul (I would never be able to handle that ), but again, I believe that the government cannot disallow someone from God-given free will, even if they spurn God's gift and use it for sin.

                            Uh... OK.

So is it safe to assume that if you'd been alive in Nazi Germany, you would have supported Adolph Hitler? After all, the Nazis were merely exercising their God-given free will when they exterminated Jews, weren't they?
                            That's not entirely accurate, no.

First off, Nazi Germany (contrary to popular belief) did not elect Adolf into power; therefore they didn't necessarily approve of his obviously immoral and utterly evil actions.

And in many cases, the Nazis at the infamous death camps (such as Auschwitz, Dachau, and others) were not following their own free will, but instead the orders of their evil superiors. Many Nazis were told that if they did not follow orders, they would be shot or otherwise tortured. Therefore they did not act on their free will.

I can say with all honesty with God as my witness, I had never done anything sexual in any way until I met my darling wife Eliza and after we had married. This was after I had embraced God as my savior, and after our marriage of course, the only thing that came of it was consensual sex in the missionary position for the purposes of procreation.

I have nothing to hide that I haven't already told you, but I appreciate your dedication to rooting out the evils of the world.
