What makes your branch if Christianity unique? What part of the bible is most important to you? What do you most value in your religion? What makes a highly respected member of your community? What makes the lowest Christian? What is it that drew you personally to your religion? Were you born into it or did you find it on your own.
I want to learn.

I hate to sound juvenile, but . . . I asked you first. You came into a Christian church's discussion forum and announced that our religion is false and that you follow a true religion. So demonstrate how you know it is true.

Try to convert me. Convince me your goddess is real, and your Summerland, and all that.

I promise not to execute you for so doing (as God commands), because I must follow secular laws (as God commands) which do not presently allow Christians to execute those who try to convert us to false religions.

Wicca isn't one structured thing like all other religions. It gives you wiggle room to worship what you please as long as you follow the one rule: harm none. Wiccans are free to practice pagan traditions such as herbal medicines, the craft, worship the oldest gods and goddesses if they pleased, and as for sacrafices we've toned it down to instead of slaughtering an animal, we bury an egg. Why does it matter to you why I'm wiccan? I was asking to be taken off the site, not to defend myself.

Speaking of reincarnation, where do all the extra souls come from, as there are a LOT more people on the Earth than there ever have been? Do they make new ones all the time? Who decides if you get a new, fresh soul, or an old soul? How can you tell if your soul has been around the block before? Do the "old soul" types have any advantages over the others? Is it a caste system, like in India? Do you believe in karma?

But you get reincarnated, so you don't go to Heaven in the first place.

I am not shackled to a goddess. I don't fall at her feet and beg for forgiveness when I do something wrong. I don't worship like you do. I feel the most connected to her and I ask for her guidance in hard times. I'm not expected to give my life to her. And as I've said, my feelings about what I believe come first. I am human, I love myself, my feelings and well being come first to me.

What makes you think you receive guidance from her? Why do you think it's anything but your own brain figuring out your problem?

I also don't see why any of this Wicca is necessary for the type of life you claim to want, or the sort of people you want to associate with. There are plenty of atheists, humanists, and Unitarians who are very nice, helpful, generous people.

I came on here from a different religion, with an open mind and eager to learn about what this church was about. I wanted to know what made this branch of the church so unique and what your take on the Bible was. I didn't just want to shut myself up in my own religion, I wanted to understand all of them, including yours. I've been nothing but nice and polite and I've received nothing but hate in return. I thought you would want to bring glory to God by teaching an open heart about Him. It seems, though, that all one can do is throw names and hateful comments at me. You say my soul needs to be "saved" but why would I let such hateful beings try to save it? Indeed, though, my soul is no ones business but my own. So I ask you this favor: take me off this site. Delete this user account. Anyone who has the power, please do it or send many pleading emails to your head pastor to remove me.

You have not shown me hate. But others have. I will not ever heed the call to this god. I follow Wicca because it is a religion of love and light. All the Wiccans I've met have been nothing but kind to me and I've never seen a lick of hate in amy of them. The main rule of Wicca is to harm none.

That's all well and good, but again, your only reason for believing it appears to be "it makes me happy", not because you for any reason think it's true.

Why would you want to believe a happy lie? Why not just be a secular humanist or something, they're nice people too but don't follow some made-up goddess that they don't really seem to believe in anyway.

You can do all that as a secular humanist, or a LaVeyan Satanist, or just about anything else. Why the made-up witchcraft nonsense that you clearly don't even really believe? Some need for ritual? You can go to a Unitarian church for that, they're mostly atheists. A need for control in your life? Casting spells that don't work won't empower you.
