I am not shackled to a goddess. I don't fall at her feet and beg for forgiveness when I do something wrong. I don't worship like you do. I feel the most connected to her and I ask for her guidance in hard times. I'm not expected to give my life to her. And as I've said, my feelings about what I believe come first. I am human, I love myself, my feelings and well being come first to me.

What makes you think you receive guidance from her? Why do you think it's anything but your own brain figuring out your problem?

You have to make up your mind. Do you follow "Wicca" as made up in the 1950s, or do you follow ancient pagan traditions, which included human sacrifice?

Prove it. Show me the source material delineating the practices from pre-Christian days, or admit you're following your own (or others') imagination.

What's "special" about you, or any of us? Sperm has been meeting egg for about a billion years without requiring the involvement of any "higher being". Was Hitler also special? Do you honour him, as well?

So it doesn't really matter at all what you do in this life, if all your "impurities will be cleansed" (hmmm, sounds a LOT like having the Blood of Christ wash your sins away, but you're not plagiarizing anything, nope).

Speaking of reincarnation, where do all the extra souls come from, as there are a LOT more people on the Earth than there ever have been? Do they make new ones all the time? Who decides if you get a new, fresh soul, or an old soul? How can you tell if your soul has been around the block before? Do the "old soul" types have any advantages over the others? Is it a caste system, like in India? Do you believe in karma?

But you get reincarnated, so you don't go to Heaven in the first place.

Wicca isn't one structured thing like all other religions. It gives you wiggle room to worship what you please as long as you follow the one rule: harm none. Wiccans are free to practice pagan traditions such as herbal medicines, the craft, worship the oldest gods and goddesses if they pleased, and as for sacrafices we've toned it down to instead of slaughtering an animal, we bury an egg. Why does it matter to you why I'm wiccan? I was asking to be taken off the site, not to defend myself.

I hate to sound juvenile, but . . . I asked you first. You came into a Christian church's discussion forum and announced that our religion is false and that you follow a true religion. So demonstrate how you know it is true.

Try to convert me. Convince me your goddess is real, and your Summerland, and all that.

I promise not to execute you for so doing (as God commands), because I must follow secular laws (as God commands) which do not presently allow Christians to execute those who try to convert us to false religions.

I wasn't trying to convert you sir. Your accusations are false. What have I been saying? I wanted tto expand my mind about religions and I didn't want to exclude yours. Then you started asking me all these questions about why I practice what I do and now I'm trying to convert you? I'm trying to explain myself the best I can to your questions, but mainly I wanted to learn.

What makes your branch if Christianity unique? What part of the bible is most important to you? What do you most value in your religion? What makes a highly respected member of your community? What makes the lowest Christian? What is it that drew you personally to your religion? Were you born into it or did you find it on your own.
I want to learn.

Then you started asking me all these questions about why I practice what I do and now I'm trying to convert you? I'm trying to explain myself the best I can to your questions, but mainly I wanted to learn.

I didn't accuse you of trying to convert me.

Try to convert me. Convince me your goddess is real, and your Summerland, and all that.

I invited you to try to convert me. Convince me your religion is right. You believe it, so why should I believe it as well?

After all, if it's true, surely you'd want others to follow what's true, right?

I don't want you to care about my religion. I want to be taught, from one human to another, about why this spiritual path is unique from other Christian branches. That is all I want. Not to convert. Friend, I know you come from the nanny state of California but life is not all about 'you'. It is about Jesus.
You've taken the time to read the make believe wicca books how to cook up a spell casting stew or eye of newt with cat balls. Can't you take the time to read the Bible and find out what Christianity is all about?

Everything we have to teach is in the Bible. Read it and obey it. Simple enough.

So, why do you think your religion is right? I really want to know. You seem to be the only Wiccan we've had here who is over 12 and able to write in coherent sentences (check out "Eva" for a typical Wiccan visitor), so I'm hoping you can actually explain it intelligently.
