    Not at all friend.
    I am indeed willing to "do the hard work" because I have helped many of my friends find the Light and welcome Jesus into their hearts, but not through hate and fear, but through love and kindness.

    You're also trying to tell us you've never read the following verse, or worse yet, you have read it and made a conscious decision to ignore it.

    1 Timothy 5:20

    20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

    I became a Christian when I was 15 when I heard my Uncle speak at Church when I visited him for the first time.
    He spoke of compassion, and love. Of how the Lord is righteous and forgiving, and how through Him, any man can achieve great things.

    With this I asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior.
    Since then, I have gained a trait that I am proud of and hold very dear.
    I do not denounce those who say blasphemous things. I do not call them hatemongers or whores for their beliefs because that is outwardly showing hate and the Lord our God does not "hate." He loves. Instead of telling them they are scum and wicked, I speak the Gospel and try to show them the love of the Lord our God, and through the Good Book, how one may live full, peaceful, righteous lives. I then pray for them, for they do not know the true glory of the Lord.

    I hope you understand what I am trying to say here.
    Yes! You're saying that you were moved by your uncle's sermon! You don't judge people for worshiping idols, and refuse to point out to them when they make a deadly mistake, one that will result in their spending eternity in Hell. I'll bet that helps you sleep at night, knowing you've avoided any unpleasant confrontations that might just save a soul. What you forget is the LORD has called the True Christian™ to correct the True Christian™ wanna be.

    I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ,
    who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
    Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
    For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
    but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
    And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
    2nd Timothy 4:1-4

    Irinka,
    Very true friend. I can agree with you after thinking about it that our god can, indeed, hate.
    If there is one thing that He hates more than anything, that is, of course, sin.

    Hello, Wells! While I agree with you that our Lord is a loving God and that we are to show respect to each other, and I even agree that there is worth to simply being nice and treating people with politeness, I would not be so presumptuous as to declare that our God does not "hate", for there are times and situations when He does. For example, He appears to have hated Esau. You do remember that part, right? There are plenty more places like that in the Bible, of course.

    Hello! I sure am glad that you are here. Thank you for posting a proper introduction: you'd be amazed at how many people mess that part up.

    I detect a subtle disappointment in your post: why is that?

    Hi, and welcome to our friendly forums!

    You neglected to tell us what your favorite Bible verse is, did it maybe slip your mind?

    Also, would you like to share with us how you found Jesus? I love to hear people's testimonies, and I think that helps encourage those silent believers who are reading our Godly forums who may not have the courage to come out of the closet and admit to being Christian.
